Tun Dr Mahathir today congratulated Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad for becoming a minister once again but advised him to "take good care of the price of goods instead of commenting about me."
He took a pot shot at his former deputy Tun Musa Hitam who had described him as 'thorn in the flesh' when he said:
"Tun Musa Hitam claimed that I was a thorn in the flesh that has now been removed. Has Tun (Musa Hitam) forgotten that he was a thorn in the flesh in Umno back in 1986-1987 when he was the deputy prime minister appointed by me?"
"He (Musa Hitam) resigned as deputy prime minister and Umno deputy president because he wanted me to step down as the Prime Minister and be replaced by him."

Power is everything that matters to Umno leaders as power begets influence and positions and opportunities to dip their hands into the coffers to fill their home and bellies. The NEP policy and a joy ride on the gravy train is all that matters to its coteries and members.
The ordinary and unconnected members would normally get nothing whatsoever except some future promises that the days will come and that day they had their turn to fill their own bellies. The rest of the ordinary citizens only have to continue to live an ordinary life and, in the words of Najib, "learn to adjust our lifestyles to make ends meet." Maybe the shout of Ketuanan once a while can motivate them to have a better life and give them some kind of new hopes of better times that may come, if ever it will come. But its sufficient to stir the motivation and prepares their emotion and satisfy their values.

They fight fight fight. But 2016 is just 7 years 7 months away. The oil subsidies will disappear when the time come.
Now I wonder, how are Malaysia going to sustain the growth after the subsidies gone? After all, so called "Malaysia competitiveness" are mostly build upon oil subsidies.
But it is strange that Thailand didn't produce oil but the price of the goods are still way below Malaysia.
The problem with Mahathir is he thinks UMNO belongs to himself and his family and friends. That is the reason he is being so uptight and defensive. Knowing him, everything he says is supposed to be true and everyone else is wrong.

The DUMB and DAFT (Double D) will always flock to their group, in this case UMNO. Let them all continue with their dumbness and suffers in the livelihood of malaise and hoping for corruption to roll to their doorsteps.
I guess that is what they are looking for by becoming and supporting UMNO blindly and consciously.
Can't balme them either as they have set their mindset as such "DUMA and DAFT", as compared to those people living successful live based on hardship, integrity, and profound virtues and principles.
