Prime Minister Abdullah has more headaches now.
The MPs from Sabah wants a cabinet reshuffle and to give them more important ministries.
Kalabakan MP Datuk Seri Abdul Ghapur Salleh said it was an insult to Sabahan MPs to be given a total of three ministerial posts while it was Sabah and Sarawak MPs who helped Barisan secure simple majority to win in the recent polls.
"They are tasked to look after museum (referring to Datuk Shafie Apdal and technology (referring to Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili) and one in the Prime Minister's Department (Tan Sri Bernard Dompok).
"These are not important Cabinet posts.
"I dared not take up the post of the deputy minister. People in Sabah are not happy with the allocation,'' he said, adding that Barisan should be fair in allocating the number of ministers from each state.
"One state has seven ministers (referring to Johor), another state lost its state government and yet has four ministers (referring to Selangor).''
Ghapur has called the BN govt for an increase of oil royalty from 5% to 20% so that the RM500mil allocation would be increased to RM2bil and a lot of problems could be solved with that fund.
"We can solve the problems ourselves with that big chunk of money,'' he said while debating at the Dewan Rakyat on Monday.
When asked whether he would leave Barisan Nasional to join another party, Ghapur said no. “If we can solve the problem from within, why should we look outside?" he said.
Throughout the speech, Ghapur highlighted the discrimination between the peninsula and Sabah right from the allocation to infrastructure, education to tourism and others.
"Where is keadilan (justice) here,'' he asked, to which many Keadilan MPs waved at him and said "we are here."

We can observed the unhappy MPs from Sabah and Sarawak. They felt discriminated. They was keadilan. I'm sure they would get it - keadilan, one way or another. The MPs from Sabah wants a cabinet reshuffle and to give them more important ministries.

Pak Lah now has to find something for them to make them happy. Who would be sacrificed? Muhyiddin? Najib? Nazri? or Zaid and Zahid? We'll wait for PM's inspiration.

Pak Lah made the msitake of appointing mohd2 taib as a minister. He wasn't even an election candidate. That powerful ministry should have been given to the Sabahan. 4 ministers from Sabah should had been enough to placate their doscontentment.
But Pak Lah was an idiot. That's the price you pay for listening to KJ.
Looks like the Sabahan accelerates into 3rd gear.
The Sarawak BN still very polite and quiet at this moment. (The anti-Federal feeling of Sarawakians is alway stronger as compared to Sabahan). Can't imagine when Sarawakians accelerate into 5th gear later on
The momentum looks interesting, so far this show quite enjoyable.
PM, I can imagine how kepala pusing you are now. Jeanne has 2 daughters, suggest you get 2 more SILs to help you.
Gapur, what about Bung Mokhtar as DPM:) Cakap Syiok Syiok Aje!
wow.....
ok. ghapur? hmmm.....
let's hope the whole thing is meant for the good for Sabahan. i have a feeling that maybe someone is complaining cox the filtering was too many till when it come to sabah, the nett filtrate is too small. blame me for being cynical.
however, watever the ulterior motive is, at least they speak up NOW.
and yes... it's interesting to see how Sarawakians turned into 5th gear !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bung Mokhtar as DPM??????????????? With all due respect, I would prefer the 89yo nenek who contested in Terengganu in GE12.
2 more SILs for Dollah, i.e. Muhyiddin and Abdul Ghapur Salleh. Then there more revolt because all are in the same family.

The answer is simple , just expand the cabinet and create more ministries; like minister of drains,
minister of radio, minister of television, minister of man, minister of woman, minister of children......
"Pak Lah now has to find something for them to make them happy. Who would be sacrificed? Muhyiddin? Najib? Nazri? or Zaid and Zahid? We'll wait for PM's inspiration."
eh typo? perspiration? sweating golf balls,.....( ;P )
the poor man is surrounded by people who want his job!.....or a leg up along the way at least!
what la? pls make up your mind...
no need to think some more!
want to jump, jump la!
Jebatmustdie,
I tend to agree with you; if Sabah was given 4 minister posts I think they would have been contended.
CMBSS,
You may be right; Sarawak will be next.
Please leave Jean's daughter out of this; it is not ethical (I know you are jesting but it's not good).
CK,
It's not about ulterior motive; I think the Sabah MPs deserved something better than what they were given. On Bung Mokhtar, I had no comment but if you say 89yo nenek and Bung, I will prefer Bung as DPM.
Just,
Your suggestion is good; it is a solution of some sort; irrespective.
Jefus,
Ya, the poor man is surrounded by people who wants him off.
Maverick
Pee'Emm will sacrifice ministers from MCA and MIC lah to fit the Sabahan Ministers... that is for sure one!
RM2billion can buy the Pee'Emm Airbus 380, Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and a Nimitz size Yacht to cruise Perth Australia anytime.
Anyway, UMNO can still survive from humble donors from MCA and MIC coffers ma... they have done that for the last 50 years, another 100 years is sure possible lor!
RM2billion is a lot of money.... he will get Brain Cancer, not Headache if he loses it ma...

I have mentioned before. Pak Lah did it on purpose. He need crisis to continue his political life.
IMHO, most East Malaysia MP still soft and submit to umno. If one remember the jokers MP that file police report against Karpal.
"Where is keadilan (justice) here," he asked, to which many Keadilan MPs waved at him and said "we are here."
LOL. That is a funny one. But the so-called "party hopping" controversy which speculates MBs from sabah and sarawak... Think straight, can they be sure PR can indeed be "fair aka ADIL" to them if they did party hop? Promises promises.... Promoting here there, sales pitches everywhere, but jangan jadi cakap tak serup bikin also yeah PR...!
Sin Chew headlined this news on their frontpage. The Star also carried it on their frontpage. NST slotted it at page 8 and even then, it didn't merit half a page!
Ling Ling Chatt,
I think the prerogative of the PM remains. MCA or MIC must accept that they should have less.
Moo_t,
We will have to see what happens after August as said by Yong Teck Lee. I think they had planned something in August.
Sandyow,
We won't know whether PR can be fair to them but they seems to have strike a deal with Anwar on the State benefits which seems lucrative.
Anak Merdeka,
NST is kali; it wrote an article on Khairy to boost his image.
Ghapur oh Ghapur. Do you realise that you are raising issues that borders on the Ketuanan Melayu thingy. For all you know, you may be on the hit list now to be charged under the Sedition Act. If I were you, keep quiet about your demands and when the day comes, just walk across the floor to the other side and make yourself comfortable. What is the point in grovelling to these bunch of racists. Don't be like MCA, MIC, Gerakan and the PPP. Have some pride in you. Hold your head up high and do what is right for the people of Sabah.
Billy,
Ghapur needn't fear; he is a Bumiputera and he is also entitled to the Ketuanan thing.
