Govt admits discriminations

The government admitted that they did in fact discriminate against the non-Bumiputeras.

Deputy Entrepreneurial Development and Cooperative Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said the amount of loans by SME Bank approved for non-Bumiputera enterprises amounted to RM479.2 milion which accounted for only 5% of the total of RM9 billion granted by the central bank loans to SMEs up to April 2008.

"We are looking at ways to get the banks to submit a written report to the minister on the number of loans that were not approved and explain why they were rejected," Datuk Saifuddin said.

The government also admitted that they had discriminated against the non-Bumiputera in the education system.

As of 2007 and out of 382,997 students admitted to public universities, there are 79.7 percent bumiputera students, 12 percent Chinese, 3.2 percent Indians and 1.4 percent of other races and international students.

The figures were stated in a written reply from Higher Education Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin to Loke Siew Fook (DAP-Rasah).

Will the government also reveal and admit the discriminations in the employment of civil servants, the granting of scholarships, the promotion of civil servants and how many director-generals were Bumis, Khazanah's employees composition and management composition, Petronas, Banks, etc.

Let the whole nation knows the truth, nothing but the truth.

Mahathir admitted in his lasted article at chedet.com that he had instituted these discrimination to serve his doctrines of his own dilemmas and thus created a society composites of classes of citizens and divide the nation based on races and identified each by religion and creed.

Former Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Tajol Rosli Ghazali said yesterday the Federal Government would be channeling RM1.6bil to the JKKKP for development. He warned Perak MB Nizar not to play with fire when awarding government contracts to the contractors.

“Don’t play with fire. If the state government is good to us, we will be good to them too. “But if Barisan Nasional contractors are discriminated against by the state government, we will not hesitate to discriminate against their contractors too,” said Tajol Rosli, who is Perak Barisan liaison committee chairman.

What he probably means is that the govt contracts must be given to Umno contractors; otherwise he is prepared to discriminate against all the others.

This is creed-based politics and is inherent and calcified within the corrupt and kleptocratic system of the Umno-centric Barisan Nasional.

Malaysian are not born to see the country collapse by UMNOism.

Whether bumi or non bumi, as long as pride are not instill, productivity will go down the drain.

As fact has shown, a Chinese padi farmer in Sekinchang that survive on less subsidies and help compare to farmer in norton region or even east Malaysia, productivity are significant bigger and quality are better.

moo_t, having been to Sekinchang and being a Sabahan, yes, u r right about the productivity.

in a way, all the proof aplenty but the UMNO government just refused to acknowledge or admit. and in the midst of the admitting on the SME loans and university placement, morons like Tajol still come out and utter statement like this.

ya, change our lifestyle but freaking UMNO continues to fleece and shortchanged us.
PR, just asked this Tajol to take a hike. Just give the contracts with the best bid and special consideration be given to bumiputras regardless of political affiliation!

SIGH!! Mav. We have been "had" and still are getting it? That's not news.

No matter how many evident no-brainer case the Rakyat brings up

We have known for more than 20 years we are being screwed.

The problems are
1. there is ISA & sedition acts - we aren't allowed to criticise. Now with the price of fuel this high maybe they allow us to walk?

2. UMNO says this is THEIR land

3. UMNO says I can & AM robbing you blind so watcha gonna say?

4. UMNO says you are not Malay so I can bathe my keris with your blood despite your tacit acknowledgement and agreement that I am your SUPREME lord

You know what I will do?

The same as when I have to pay for shitty food and service in a restaurant...Not return. Move out. Adios!

This may sound like a broken record..but no harm keep reminding us of the damage caused by MCA and MIC lapdogs...who never for once questioned the allocations or demanded for anything for the communities they so verily claim to represent.

Look at Ong Tee Keat...now as quiet as Ong Ka Ting. Same breed of dog. I used to admire him when he stood up to Kerishisham..now he is made minister..same pariah dog behaviour.

When the next election comes, I hope the electorates bury the remnants of these useless lapdogs forever.

Moo_t,

You must understand the social and political realities of the people of Sekinchang and the empirical reasons for their hardwork.

I think we should not disrespect the Northern farmers per se as we have no factual information of their productivity.

CK,

We cannot dissect the productivity comparative study with such simplistic cognition.

Gobloking,

I would stay and I am not fearful of such discrimination. I believe hardwork and greater efforts will grant me the rewards irrespective of such oppression and suppression. In the end, the government manned by Umno will understand that. When the goings get tough, the tough will get going. What Umno had done and acted will ultimately hurt themselves and make them irrelevant in a global economy.

Artchan,

I hate to admit it as I am an MCA member; MCA is the causality and can't run away from being responsible for the current situation by way of omissions to act appropriately.

This is not the first time I have come across Sekinchan mentioned as a place with high yield in padi production.

I believe it has to do with fertilizers too. In oil palm estates, those owners who put in more fertilizers get more fruits.

It is an open secret that some padi planters sell their fertilizers for quick gain which account for the poor yield. There are illegal traders who bought the fertilizers and mix and match according to demand by estate owners. They have stores using forklifts and can afford luxury cars.

Can we rebuild the lost ground fast enough to avoid being run over by globalization?

Now i know why perak is in such a dire state. With nonsensical rat like tajol rosli, can we expect otherwise?

KoSong Cafe,

It's a good point and could contribute to the cause.

Hasilox,

There is no intention and no will; no desire.

Perak will do better with the current regime; I am confident; irrespective of federal fundings.

Tajol Rosli is back in the news again. One time I heard (or probably read somewhere) that this Tajol felled to tears when Perak lost to Pakatan Rakyat.

Tajol is not fit to be leader, dont have that leadership brain as well. Just ignore his nuisances!

ORIS,

Tajol is fit to be a leader but the culture and values of the system ensures that even the best leader in the world will fail.
