Tale: Leadership by Example

A father wanted to inspire his young son. He asked his boy:

"Son what do you need to do to get ahead in life and when you grow up, be successful and hold a top job?"

To his surprise, his son replied: "Watch lots of TV each night, dad."

" Who told you that is the way to be successful, son?" exclaimed the father.

" YOU did, dad." replied the son.

"Every night you come home and tell mum how that one day you are going to get a TOP job with HIGH pay and LOTS of POWER. Then you go and sit in front of the TV for the rest of the night! So I guess that is the way you are preparing to get that top job!"

Perhaps the father forgot to add that he had consulted a fengshui master and according to the master he will be a successful person.... so he just sit and wait.

The father had said, "do what I tell, not do what I did" :-)

Sabery,

I also wonder.

Jefus,

No lah; it's not bush...maybe, Malaysians.

Moo,

You may be right.

Gukita,

The fact remains is many fathers act as such.
