Even Human Rights Commission SUHAKAM could be downgraded

Even our Human Rights Commission SUHAKAM faces potential downgrading from Grade A to Grade B for not being fully compliant with the Paris Principles.

The International Coordinating Committee of National Institutions for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (ICC), had asked Suhakam to reply in writing within a year on why it should not be downgraded.

The ICC sub-committee, which recently reviewed Suhakam's accreditation and human rights compliance, had also received a report jointly made by two non-governmental organisations.

SUHAKAM officials claimed ICC had been unfair and that SUHAKAM hardly interacted with ICC and felt more at home with APF where it enjoyed good networking and training.

Are the international institutions of the world conspiring against Malaysia?

THES downgraded Malaysian universities status each year for the last few year. Malaysia's Corruption Index had also dropped drastically. Now, our Human Rights status may also be downgraded. What else they hadn't downgraded?

Maybe, Malaysian Institutions need to form alliances with those who would provide guarantee to us ensuring only upgrading of our status and would continuously protect our rights to be number 1 in all areas. Why can't they understand us? We are Bolehans!
