Perak, Oh Perak: What KuLi says

This is what Tengku Razaleigh has to say about the Perakomania:

[QUOTE]

"The mysterious disappearances, sudden reversals, and weak explanations, show ample signs of illegal inducement.

"No matter what the truth of the matter, let us not fool ourselves. People will not believe that these crossovers were honest. This mistrust will taint any government formed on the back of these crossovers."

"The two assemblymen whose allegiance we have suddenly gained are under investigation for corruption, while the Bota assemblyman's justification for his record-breaking 10-day double-hop is an insult to the public's intelligence and nauseating in its insincerity."

"The Constitution and the role of the Ruler in such crises must be respected because defections are not a basis for the formation of a government. Elections are."

"The menteri besar has sought the Ruler's consent for the dissolution of the State Legislative Assembly. The decision now rests with the Ruler."

"Our taking control without resorting to elections would cement the enmity of the very people we should be trying to win back. Come the next general election, they are going to reject both our state and parliamentary candidates with greater vehemence, and not just in Perak."

"We are under close public scrutiny and unless we implement radical reforms and are seen to be doing so, we are finished politically come next elections".

News from The Malaysian Insider: Perak crisis spotlights royalty’s role

The early signs emerging from Perak are not promising. The previously unsullied reputations of Sultan Azlan Shah and his erudite son, Raja Nazrin Shah have been the subject of scorn and ridicule.

Q: Cakap Tak Serupa Bikin?

[Quote]

Raja Nazrin Shah: Only those who are capable, responsible and scrupulously honest should be allowed to serve in positions of leadership. Those who are inefficient, incompetent and, most importantly, corrupt, should be held in absolute contempt. It was very important, he added, to have leaders who were earnest in building unity and did not resort to religious or ethnic posturing to further their careers.

Raja Nazrin Shah: “The Constitution is the supreme law of the land and guarantees the rights of every Malaysian. Get a copy of the Federal Constitution and read it…the integrity of that document must be protected at all cost.”

Sultan Azlan Shah: “Nothing destroys more the confidence the general public, or the business community has in the judiciary than the belief that the judge was biased when he decided a case, or that the judge would not be independent where powerful individuals or corporations are the litigants before him.”

Raja Nazrin Shah: “In the last two decades, judicial independence and integrity have eroded. The result is a lack of confidence in the judicial system and the complete disregard for the law by some quarters. These are dark stains on our honour and reputations and they have the potential to weaken, if not destroy the nation.”

ku li is right. you may win Perak now, but come next election, people will remember this un-democratic event and it will spill over to other states as well.

you may win a battle, but not the war.

I dont know how Sultan arrives at his conclusion despite the many controversy surrounding the 3 frogs.

And only a day before Raja Nazrin has this to say :Raja Nazrin said his father clearly understood the sentiments and aspiration of his subjects ..."

Did HRH REALLY understand the sentiment of his subjects in this instance? Did he?

Who is right, Ku Li or Sultan Perak?

Sultan Perak's statement says these:-

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/2/6/nation/3209890&sec=nation

"....His Royal Highness had used his discretion under Article XVIII (2)(b) of the Perak Darul Ridzuan State Constitution and did not consent to the dissolution of the Perak State Assembly.

YAB Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin was summoned to an audience with the Sultan to be informed of his Royal Highness’s decision not to dissolve the State Assembly, and in accordance with the provisions of Article XVI (6) of the Perak Darul Ridzuan State Constitution, DYMM Paduka Seri Sultan of Perak ordered YAB Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin to resign from his post as Perak Mentri Besar together with the members of the state executive council with immediate effect...."

P.S. Ku Li has recently aligned to Anwar Ibrahim. That is why I have to be careful of what Ku Li writes now

Alas, Sultans are humans afterall! Cakap mereka may be tak serupa bikin! Few weeks back the Perak Sultan said that the Raja2 have to EARN the respect of the people; otherwise they might become IRRELEVANT! Now with his decision on this fiasco, looks like it becomes harder for the Sultan & his son to earn the respect of the people of Perak?

To seize power like what they did... are they any diff. from the Jews.

Next time spare us your speeches on people rights and what not.

We are begining to doubt if there is any single shred of sincerity in it.

There are tears from heaven right now...

It is all about money and projects awarded to Raja E, the lawyer and dotter of Sul Tan AhLan.

All it takes is a call by NTR and from there Raja E call Sul Tan AhLan and presto, NTR and Beend topple the goman.

Malaysia Boleh and is really corruot to its core.

Take your money and run.

Aiyah, what have become of our country, where got law, banana law lah in Bolehland!

There is a bigdifferent between constitutional monarch system in monarch of Thailand vs Bolehland.

It took a revolution, a great mother and luck for Thailand to instill a great King.

On the other hand, Bolehland "monarch" system are actually by product of British colonial system. It is make to create a messy divide conquer method to rule the colony. In fact, those "royals" are more interested to uphold their feudalism interest than promoting democracy.

People like Raja Petra still hallucinate already corrupted Bolehland monarch like safety net.

King Solomon Trial

Two women came before wise King Solomon, dragging between them a young man.

"This young man agreed to marry my daughter," said one.

"No! He agreed to marry MY daughter," said the other.

And so they began arguing until the King called for silence.

"Bring me my biggest sword," said Solomon, "and I shall hew the young man in half. Each of you shall receive a half."

"Sounds good to me," said the first lady.

But the other woman said, "Oh Sire, do not spill innocent blood. Let the other woman's daughter marry him."

The wise king did not hesitate a moment. "The man must marry the first woman's daughter," he proclaimed.

"But she was willing to hew him in two!" exclaimed the king's court.

"Indeed," said wise King Solomon. "That shows she is the TRUE mother-in-law."

Aiyah, lets eat, drink & be merry la!

I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . .

As I, Turn Up The Collar On My
Favourite Winter Coat
This Wind Is Blowing My Mind
I See The Kids In The Street,
Without Enough To Eat
Who Am I, To Be Blind?
Pretending Not To See
Their Needs
A Summer's Disregard,
A Broken Bottle Top
And A One Man's Soul
They Follow Each Other On
The Wind Ya' Know
'Cause They Got Nowhere To Go
That's Why Now I Want You To Know

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change)
(Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na, Na Nah)

I've Been A Victim Of A Selfish
Kind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With No
Home, Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me,
Pretending That They're Not Alone?

A Willow Deeply Scarred,
Somebody's Broken Heart
And A Washed-Out Dream
(Washed-Out Dream)
They Follow The Pattern Of
The Wind, Ya' See
Cause They Got No Place To Be
That's Why I'm Starting With Me
(Starting With Me!)

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
(Ooh!)
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer

Remember, its 'by the skin of their teeth' majority. And two independents with a BN slant, are due in court to answer for corruption charges,....should the said two be found guilty, or even one, then the fiasco begins again.

Anti hopping laws must be drawn up and be put in place quickly.

The voting public of Malaysia are quickly learning the loyalties of politicians they are empowering. This is a good lesson prior to the big GE 13.

Never mind what the Father, Son or Court Jester has said or done. What is most credible of all that has been said here is the one @4.40pm on Feb 06......GO FIGURE

Cukup Hairan, ya. The Father refuse to dissolve. The Orang Kuat Perak refused to resign, The former orang kuat Selangor refused to apologise. But the most important of all is that Altantunya Shariibu refused to die.
