At the Crossroad

In life we do often have to face the difficulty of making decisions when we arrived at a crossroad - turn left or right - and often we do not know what is the right path to move forward. The decision is often paradoxical and whichever way we chose could have its own consequences and after effects.

I too have reached such a point in my life and in the next few days I would need to make one - paradoxically far reaching - and change the course of my journey to the destination I had envisaged.

I will take a few days off and go for a holiday before I decide.

You yourself cannot know how your choice will affect your future, until after you have lived it.

'The Road Not Taken' (Robert Frost)

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

many years ago traveling in a train from Sydney to Melbourne, I happen to seat next to a lady who wrote books for children,....

she left me with this statement which I still carry and dispense when it is needed.

.... some doors need to be closed so that others may be open....

i know there are several variations to this statement. but do ponder on it. hope this helps.

There is a Chinese saying "the ship will go straight when it comes across a bridge "..

Whatever you do, just don't do like what Dave Carradine did in bed with ropes--- it can cause you your life.

Mave
go take a break and decide which car your should buy, since life begins after 40. i recommend you go for Aston Martin Vantage, and not Proton Exora lah.... except if you need to plan doing charitable garbage collection in your housing area....

ha ha ha ha ha.... just kidding!

Thanks; it's a great way to relief stress. I'll look for an Aston Martin.

Mave,

Cross-roads are good. At least they are not off-roads ... very hard on the bum and back!

All roads ultimately lead to a destination ... enjoy the view along the way.

All the best in your endeavour. God be with you.
