Another Bridge Crack?

This piece of news is reported at bolehlandconstruction blog.

The news is scary. After MRR2 Bridge cracks we never expected another of such news. This bridge is the interchange at Puchong Jaya - LDP, along the stretch between IOI Mall leading to the dispersal roads linking Bukit Jalil, Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong and Jalan Puchong.

Recently we heard of the Stadium Gong Badak, Terengganu roof collapse, Jaya Supermarket collapse, structural defects at Batu Buruk Aquatic Centre, Terengganu, building collapse at Tasik Banding, Gerik, Bukit Antarabangsa slope failures, etc. Now we have Gamuda/Litrak LDP bridge crack.

Go and read the news as here and we wait for further news from Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia, JKR and Gamuda/Litrak

I don't think Gamuda expected the huge volume of traffic plying this overheadbridge. The population of Puchong and its surrounding areas have been growing by leaps and bounds, much more than expected by everyone. Of course, this also points to the vulgar amount of toll receipts collected at the Sunway toll. Traffic at the toll can sometimes take up to 40 minutes to clear. In the morning, it can take up to an hour at its peak!!

The alleged cracks should not be taken lightly. Any accident arising from a collapse will affect many lives!

more collapse bridges, buildings, roads, flyovers, means more money for the cronies.

corruptions were the ones causing these destruction.... foresee more similar fate like Teoh Beng Hock will landed dead due to fallen to ground. now one need to wonder if KLCC tower and newly built highrise in KLCC can last 3 years after their construction... good investment would be in Nirvana shares!

Hindus and muslims don't buy lots there

Better let the road come crashing down..and build another one.

The last i remember on Kepong MRR, no one was found responsible, and wasted so much money on consultants.

I think it is cheaper to blow the the bridge than to repair.

artchan is right.

bridge crack also can give some irresponsible party to further make more money from the rakyat.

this is what being under bee-end is all about - thrive on the misery of others.

That is one of the dunbest statements I've ever come across, please lah go and check the overhead bridges built during the 60's near selangor padang and masjid negara, do you see cracks?, All these bridges and mega projects collapse or are having major mal-functions because you send kids to do a man's job, UMNO cronies with zero expertise, who sell their contracts to sub-sub-sub-sub-sub contractors and why should you and me care, to them we are nobodies. the moment you protest about these corruption, which you can see in front of your eyes, UMNO wll start chest thimping and foaming at the mouth that you are insulting islam and the malays. WHAT HAS ISLAM GOT TO DO WITH CORRUPTION, ISN'T IT HARAM. This is the sendiwara how they have lied and cheated the malays. Why do you think they want to revert the teaching standards back to bahasa Malaysia, it is to have a slave class who can understand the propoganda BS that umno churns out, Why is it that all the ministers children are sent to international schools and than sent overseas to study, So that they will come back and be the masters of the kampung folks,WHO WILL BE THE SLAVES, SO WHO IS FOOLING WHO NOW.
BN= BINI NAJIB :D
