Worry not, 2015 will come soon.
When the oil import negate the income of oil export, traffic jam will become history. And the rest of the consequences, will be history too.

Sorry Mave, I do not see a Traffic Jam. I only see well-disciplined motorists with lots of patience unlike those on Malaysian highways. By the way, the scenario was foreseen as you do not build a 19 lane highway to cater to light traffic.

this is a clear sign that widening roads is not a solution for traffic jams.

this kinda traffic jam is not bad, still okay and acceptable. malaysian traffic jam condition is worst head-ache. there'll be 3-lanes, then you'll have another 2-lanes for the bikers, mat rempits, bike snatchers, then you'll have ambulance rushing in the middle of the 2 lanes, then come police outriders motorcade bodyguards front and back of the ministers, ministers wives, agongs, sultans, sultans kids, and not least the alam flora trucks and DBKL hogging the emergency lanes.

all stuck in the traffic jam because of one ass-hole kancil lady driver hit a dumno myvi rear bumper driver (on the phone while driving) on the opposite lane.

now, thats malaysian traffic jam and it can go as long as 10km, from sungei besi toll to parliment upper to jalan duta where the prime minister private house located.

1. Wider roads are a past solution. We need dynamic planners who can think more innovatively to tackle our traffic jams. On the average I have to spend 1.5 hours every evening to get home. Is this the life I want? It wasn't like this when I bought my house 4 years ago. What about mornings? I wake up at 5.30 am to leave my house by 6.15 am to beat the jam!

2. It's not a highway, if you look carefully. It's a car park! Highways allow movement, if you get the drift!

3. Is this Malaysia? My depressing gut feelings (after looking at the pic) tells me it is! Urghhhh...
