SABAH POLITICAL LEADER'S INCOMPETENCY
In The Star today, it was reported that the women group leaders in Sabah are incensed over an off-color remark by Kota Kinabalu UMNO protem chief Roselan Juhar who advised, "That potential rape victims who are unable to overpower the rapist, it will be more sensible to submit to him and it would be better to lie down and enjoy the sexual event." He further suggested, "that rape victims should be psychologically assessed as to whether they enjoyed the incident."
It will be sensible for Roselan to advice rape victim who has been overpowered, to submit her chastity in order to protect her life, but certainly, I perplexed as to the reason why the political master should even suggest an assessment as to whether the rape victim did enjoy the incident. Its utterly ludicrous and preposterous for Roselan to suggest such assessment.
What cross my mind after reading such statement is:
"Is that the type of leadership we have and have chosen to lead us?"
Is there more of them within Barisan who have the similar philosophy and ideology?
DIDN'T THE PEOPLE OF SABAH CHOSE ROSELAN TO LEAD THEM?
ISN'T THIS TYPE OF MENTALITY EQUAL OR MAYBE, MUCH WORSE THAN THE RECENT NEWS ON THE MISTREATMENT OF THE MAID?
