THE ART OF MAKING BABIES

Malaysian population is now 25.1 million, an increase of 2.2% since year 2000.
However, the bad news is that fertility rate is 3.2% in 2002 as compared to 3.4% in 1990. The number of household have increase from 3.6 million in 2000 to 4.9 million last year. That means, we have extra 1.3 million husband and wifes since 2000.

"What is happenning to Malaysians?" Datuk Seri Sharizat Abdul Jalil, the Women Family and Community Development Minister asked. She presumes that many are marrying late, and some have chosen to remain single.

Sharizat's reasons given may not answer the question.
First, there have been more marriages (1.3 million), so the reason that many chose to remain single does not correlate. People are marrying late, also does not provide the answer.

The probability could be:
1) Condoms are becoming more effective.
2) Man are not having enough wifes to enhance the population growth.
3) Companies that sells "The Beauty solution" have a great marketing plan and had been effective. More women are now concerned about keeping their body figures and shapes and at such, making-baby will crush their dream of being beautiful.
4) Malaysians are not using Viagra more often to help them - that's why.
5) Making money is more important than making baby.
6) Malaysians makes more babies overseas or with foreign women.
7) More women are involved in politics now compared with 1990s (Sharizat is an example).
8) Lack of sex education (making babies).

What else???? Can anyone add??????
