2-year-old Nurizate Marzlan needs RM18,000 to undergo open-heart surgery on Sept 29. Marzlan Salleh, the father is a laborer who earns $1,000 a month, and Noridah Salim, the mother is a home-based seamstress.
3-year-old Carie On, the daughter of On Kuan Siong, 36, and Yong Sing me, 33, needs surgery as she is diagnosed with ventricular septal defect. The surgery cost RM30,000. Carie’s father is a printer earning $1,900 a month.
