RISK MANAGEMENT: MONTE CARLO ANALYSIS

  • New Political Landscape Posted by Hello

    UNCERTAINTIES PREVAILS!

MONTE CARLO ANALYSIS NEEDED TO SIMULATE A POSSIBLE NEW POLITICAL LANDSCAPE

Good News for many - Anwar is Freed.
Bad News for some - Anwar will be back for blood.

For all supporters of Anwar and his family, yesterday for the happiest day since 1998.

Anwar is freed and will be back to lead them; and for his children, they now have their father back home for dinner. But for those who had stayed away from him during his exile and hop to another horse, you may have sleepless nights and worrisome days. To those who were presumed to have betrayed him, I don't know what ....

I'm not a politician & and therefore, will abstain from the discussion of the political aspects.

As a business manager, I would have to carry out an analysis to foretell the potential risks the business may have to accept, to avoid, to mitigate and to transfer. There could also be potential opportunities and gains if you are innovative and creative.

Potential risks areas are market risk, forex risk, credit risk, environmental risk, social risk, and project risks within the context of Financial, Operational, and Project Risk .

Each and every organization have to review their business strategy and tactical strategy in view of the possible new political and societal development that may take place and which could have a positive or negative impact on their business or the related stakeholders.
    The scenario planning should include:

How do they get their projects?
    Who are your customers?
Will the accounts receivable be affected by new development?
How is the organizational funding - long-term or short-term?
    What is the gearing ratio?

The detailed analysis cannot be discussed here as there could be bias perception and false alarm and for those organization that are doing well, a "chinese wall" may have to be constructed to fend negative impact.
  • Bye Bye and take care!!!!!
