“The PAC were supposed to learn about the financial system of the country, not anything else. We can’t be simply spending money on trips like this. The itinerary for the trip was improper as it included belly-dancing and other activities that were not related to the role of PAC. I ordered the cancellation of the trip.”

MB said that he ordered the cancellation of the trip because it was improper and not prudent. But this was contradictory to what PAC member Datuk Ahmad Bhari Abdul Rahman had said earlier when he stated that the trip was cancelled because of the opposition party state assemblyman from DAP, Mr. Ng’s had pullout which resulted in a lack of quorum and as such, the trip had to be cancelled. He also said the bill for the trip would be sent to Mr. Ng and the amount would be deducted from his monthly allowance of a state assemblyman.

Or, would Pak Lah admit, he did make the mistake of selecting liars or alternatively, he had been misrepresented by his colleagues in the Barisan Nasional as to the quality of his candidates? These questions may be left unanswered unless......
