Dengue & Fogging Dilemma

All residents have been reminded not to fall prey to unscrupulous groups who demand payment for carrying out fogging in their area.

Subang Jaya assemblyman Datuk Lee Hwa Beng said such people took advantage of the dengue scare and this had been going on for years. "Residents should ignore them and not make payment for the fogging they carried out."

“The local council carries out fogging in areas where dengue cases have been reported. The service is carried out for free."

I had seen the council workers knocking at every door asking to be paid for the fogging. It happened in my place too. I told that guy to get out before I report him to the council. He then went to the next house, and every other house to try his luck.

The council advices residents not to pay and Lee Hwa Beng advices residents to ignore them.

Why is it that the council are unable to have a system of check and audit; and supervision of their workers during fogging to ensure that they will do their job responsibly and act honestly? Are the councils being managed by assholes and morons, collecting quit rents and taxes and issuing summonses; nothing else?

The government have shown to turn a blind eye on the system deficiencies and yet ask citizens to behave and act responsibly? What a shit government we had elected????

Kajang Municipal Council urge residents to allow their workers to enter their houses when they carry our fogging. To avoid falling to bogus operators, council advised residents to make sure that only workers who wear proper vest and come in vehicles that belong to the council be allowed inside their houses.

“We are concerned that when we carry out fogging around the compound, the mosquitoes will avoid the chemicals by hiding inside your bedroom and closet houses,” said the council’s corporate affairs director Shariman Mohd Noor.

“When this happen, it posed a greater danger to the people.”

En. Shariman, what type of danger? Mosquitoes hiding in the house or your workers allowed into houses where only the housewife or single girl is at home? Which is a far greater danger? How would you ensure that your workers will be under strict supervison when they entered resident's house and bedroom and that they would be no harm or posed any danger? What is your Quality Assurance System and how would you ensure that residents are confident that your system can satisfy their safety requirements and ensure that household & properties are not under any form of threats that could arise from the entry permitted? Are you waiting for a crime to happen before you look into the Quality Assurance Process and Procedures? Are you suggesting that residents should take some risks by allowing your workers into the house without adequate supervision? Are you also implying that those workers who wears proper vest and comes in vehicles labeled with Municipal Council logo are certainly bona fide and the Municipal will take full responsibility?

Dear residents, are you prepared to take the risk and accept En Shariman's advice?

Do you think he is talking through his nose or kidney?

Can we elect a responsible government, who acts; not just talk a lot; spending much more time with AP discussions, and nothing about how the rakyat are surviving. Does the government care about how citizens are coping with inflation due to the reduction in fuel subsidies, lack of employment opportunities and the shrinking economic activities because Pak Lah and his son-in-law are busy with their family business and Khairy is busy progressing to his mission at 1b.

God, where is the Cakap Serupa Bikin Leader??????
