H & I
kami niaga saja. Tak kera untung ....
H&I NIAGA Sdn Bhd, the company that won a RM320 million contract from Bank Negara Malaysia, has filed its 2002 and 2003 accounts with the Companies Commission of Malaysia. But they had yet to submit the 2004 P & L accounts. Maybe, they are still massaging the figures to meet the conditions.
Observing the figures, the company made of profit of RM14,055 in 2001 on the back of RM37.6 million revenue. That works out to be 0.08% Profit Margin.
Less than 0.1% Profit margin? Are they in the wrong business or are they having a wrong business model?
In 2002, the profit was RM65,098 from a revenue of RM50.2 million. This time, the profit margin is 0.13%; looks like a marked improvement .... but
In 2003 accounts, it suffered a net loss of RM251,563 at the back of RM31.5 million revenue.
So, will 2004 accounts show better result? I bet, they will. Otherwise, Bank Negara will have a lot to explain.
Well, H&I Niaga had submitted a RM16 million performance bond to Bank Negara and was trying to secure a comprehensive financing package for the job. How did they manage to do it? Did they get help from someone; Ali or Baba?
