No Discount for Summonses Posted by Picasa

Malaysian System is always Juxtaposed.

One day, we are warned that the government will not do this and that, or will do this and that;

Months later, we will have some kind of empathy, collaboration, or compassion.

History will then repeat itself, in the name of Malaysia Boleh!

It is just tempting for the government to fast track collections of monies from traffic summonses as they are multi-million dollars and is a great revenue earner.

It is tempting to believe the obvious purpose of the government are effectively looking into various methods of revenue generation and collections of traffic summonses is great income with little capital investments.

So, in reality, the government are impliedly happy to see more traffic offences taking place

In fact, looking at the real situation, the government should be considering that those who commit more traffic offences will be considered for special discounts and maybe, free life-time membership at police stations.

This membership privileges include: priority services where the member need not cue to pay summonses, and he will be given a cup of cuppachino on arrival. Those who had paid in excess of ten thousand will be given red-carpet treatment.

Other benefits will also be considered, such as free parking at police station, free cigarettes if held in custody at the lock-up; direct-access to senior police officer for other crimes and negotiated prosecution where charges of crime may be reduced for inchoate offences; and occassional police out-rider will be provided as requested, when available.
