Stabbed of Love in a Globalised Land

This is from Singapore, where the majority of the population is Chinese, and here is a story of an Indian, who had an Indonesian. He was 64,a part-time security guard. He had an affair with an Indonesian maid in her twenties, and he got her pregnant.

The maid went back to Indonesia. He went there to meet her and probably agreed to marry her. Desperate to get some money as the maid was about to give birth to his child, he tried to borrow money from his employer but the employer shunned.

He then returned home and asked his wife for money and jewellery. When his wife Krishnah, 57, refused, he stabbed her with a knife, took away her thali (a hindu wedding chain the groom ties around the bride’s neck and took another gold chain from her jewellery box.

He then took a bus to Tekka Market and pawned the jewellery.

Balakrishnan, 64, suffered a heart attack after pawning the jewellery and was warded in hospital where he was arrested the following day and charged for manslaughter.
