10th April 2006: NST Report

Telekom Malaysia may have to write off $806 trillion from their profit and loss statement and balance sheet. One of his customer in Kedah said he is not going to pay his telephone bill amounting to RM806,400,000,000.01.

In fact the indebted customer said he is prepared to face Telekom in court and is extremely eager to litigate.

Yahaya Wahab, a meat importer said a debt-collection company, commission by telekom came knocking on his house door to demand him to settle the bill; otherwise ..hah, hah, hah... you know lah, debt collector cannot play-play oh!

The letter, from a debt-collection agent based in Sungai Petani was dated April 3, and demanded that the house owner settle the bill within 10 days or face legal action.

Yahaya said the bill was also addressed to Alor Star, Penang. "It’s illogical. There is no Alor Star in Penang," he said.

Is there any thing wrong with the billing? If there is, how come the auditors did not spot it and the financial accounts had been audited and approved; in fact, submitted to authorities? You mean, semua orang pun tak tau ka?

Malaysia boleh!
