Danaz acquitted

The magistrate court acquitted and discharged actress, model and compere Wan Intan Edrinaz, 23, of a ganja possession charge.

Danaz had earlier been charged under Section 6 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code, for having 6.66g of ganja at a hostel here in October last year.

Magistrate Nazri Ismail made the decision after prosecuting officer Chief Insp Mohamed Azmi Mohamed Ali informed the court that the Attorney-General's Chambers had agreed to withdraw the charge against them after another friend of Dynaz's had pleaded guilty to possession of ganja.

Dynaz is currently busy shooting a drama titled Gerimis Salju.

Her latest movie Haru Biru would be shown in cinemas soon while the drama Janji Diana would be released next month.
