Will 2-Wrongs make One Right?

Zam: Dr M is epitome of his ‘forget easily’ saying

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s criticism that Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s administration had created a “climate of fear” is a reflection of “his era of dictatorship,” said Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin.

“Tun is the epitome of his very own saying Melayu mudah lupa (Malays forget easily)."

“He has deliberately forgotten that what he is accusing Pak Lah of doing now is what he (Tun) used to do while in office,” he said.

Zainuddin added that Dr Mahathir, during his tenure as prime minister, had with his authoritative leadership style created an aura around himself, which made people respect him out of fear.

“He was authoritative and firm in dealing with party members, and his political opponents ... from the process of Parliament to the judiciary.

“But he was smart enough not to make it look undemocratic,” he said adding that Abdullah’s style was more quiet and diplomatic.

“He is doing to Pak Lahexactly what Tunku Abdul Rahman did to him. “I still remember because at the time I was an editor...

Bukit Mertajam Umno division chief Datuk Musa Sheikh Fadzir called on Dr Mahathir to leave the party. “It’s better he leaves Umno. It’s alright for him to criticise the party when he is no longer a part of it.”

Has Zam also forgotten what he had said when Mahathir was PM? Didn't he remember how he praised Mahathir and his actions during the Operasi Lalang? Did Zam forget what he said when Mahathir sack the judges? Did Zam forget what he said when Mahathir arrested Anwar?

Isn't Zam the epitome of his very own saying Melayu mudah lupa?

Zam pun lupa juga... he was singing praises of Mahathir when Mahathir was doing the wrong things of which he dares to say today it was wrong. He didn't have the balls to say so, for the last 22 years.

PM: Be more tolerant to boost multi-racial ties

Prime Minister Pak Lah has called on Malaysians to learn to be more tolerant so that race and religion will no longer be sensitive issues in the future. Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said the country’s economic success was due to the people's hard work and the tolerance among them. However, he added, the issues of religion and race were still sensitive matters despite Malaysia having attained independence almost 50 years ago.

“I hope the people will train themselves to become more tolerant so that these issues will no longer be sensitive in years to come,” he said in his speech at the national Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House here last night.

Abdullah said the country’s development was aimed at helping all Malaysians. “If there are policies which appear to favour certain groups, these have only been decided upon after considering all factors, including the 'balance' that has to be achieve,” he said.

Pak Lah, what are you saying? Considered all factors? Did you consider the constitutional rights of all citizens of Malaysia? If you can adopt a policy that was ultra virus the constitution, are you saying you did the right thing? What you are trying to justify is that discrimination is necessary in our society and that the citizens must accept discrimination as equality.

So what it means is: Discrimination = Equality

Racial tolerance? Asked your son-in-law. Khairy said: "If we fight for our own race, we need not apologise." Wasn't the Pope defending his own race and religion? Why asked him to apologise and after he had apologise, Syed Hamid Albar speaking on behalf of the Malaysian govt said the apology was not sincere. But after you had met President Bush, you declared it was good enough. Why? Bush had a control over you? Wasn't Bush the man instrumental behind the Iraq and Afghanistan war? Have you also forgotten that many years ago, there was UMNO Youth who wanted to burn down the Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall? Was anyone indicted for the criminal offence till today?

Religious tolerance? Article 11 Forum was invaded two times; once in Penang and once in Johor Bahru and had to be called off. You were the one that made the same call. Zaid Ibrahim was a speaker at the Forum; wasn't he a BN MP and a Muslim? Did you contrue Zaid as a non-Muslim fighting against Islam? Had anyone being indicted for the invasion and illegal demonstration?

Cakap Tak Boleh Serupa Bikin. When in crisis, the language used is not the same. When in UMNO AGM, the language used is the Keris. Was there tolerance? Ya, there was tolerance with the AP King, Corrupt Ministers and Exco Members till the Sultan of Selangor intervene. Maybe it's time that Sultans must have certain power to dictate the executives because we now have intellectual Sultans ruling the States.

You've said it all, Maverick!

It goes double for the UMNO Youth Head Sheriff a.k.a. Cicit Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, along with his two Deputy Sheriffs, Mamaks Khairy and Azeez.

Mahathir is paying for his sins on Anwar. He is slowly but sure spiralling into oblivion. The more he fights, the more he loses. Soon it would be find himself a deep in oblivion....just like a discarded old rag at the corner of your verandah..
