Rahman and Nor Hayati

Look alike, but they are not the same person.

One is an MP and the other is a Senator.

Both are married but not to each other.


The male is Gombak MP Datuk Dr Rahman Ismail and the female is Senator Datin Paduka Norhayati Onn Ismail.

Both of them thinks they were implicated.

Nobody said affirmatively that they were the ones.

Both were contacted by reporters as the converted image of the negative bears some resemblance to them.

The negative image of the photograph, appears with an article, posted on the blogsite of Selangor opposition chief Teng Chang Khim.

It showed a woman with her head on the man's chest.

Teng said he put the photograph up as he felt that the public had a right to know since the two were political leaders and subject to public scrutiny.

Dr Rahman said the photograph on Teng’s blogsite was “certainly a fake one.”

“It is definitely a superimposed picture. I have no involvement with her. Neither have I had any pictures taken with her, nor are we having an affair.

Asked if he would lodge a police report on the matter, Dr Rahman said he would be consulting his lawyer.

Norhayati, who was in China when contacted, expressed shock that such a photograph existed.

“I do not know anything about it. I have nothing going on with him and I do not know how the picture could have surfaced,” she said.

Tan Sri Dato Oon bin Ismail, UMNO Permanent Chairman cum Speaker of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly, who is the father of Senator Datin Paduka Nor Hayati binti Onn Ismail, said "the matter is now in Syariah Court".
