Sex Education in Biology

RM20 mil will be allocated to provide training and promotion for sex education.

Sex education will not be introduced as a subject in school. Education Minister said it will become part of Biology and Moral Studies.

But biology is not sex? Sex education is more of physiology, psychology, feminism and all of which intertwine with classical natural theory. The Moral Studies generally lacks the theory of morality within the concept of moral laws.

What sort of training will be provided to the existing teachers? How much time is scheduled for the re-education of these teachers? Since the education minister is adamant that sex education will be incorporated into these subjects and will begin by January 2007, would the teachers have sufficient time to digest the knowledge and skills to impart them to the pupils who are school children?

Would we see more problem and incest? The National Service programme which was not adequately planned and implemented had cause so much problem, including sexual cases. Will it happen in schools too? I feared!
