Big News - Flood News!
Prime Minister who is in Cebu city, Philippines, expressed his deepest concern for the flood victims. To all those who had become destitute and who had suffered loses of their loved ones and properties, the Prime Minister wishes them all the best and that he would try to come back after his holidays to pay them courtesy visits.
The Prime Minister wish to express to the public not to be unnecessarily afraid and worried as he has told all the agencies what to do, that is, and how to do their best - to calm them down and to show their deepest sympathy and empathy while at the same time ask for payment for the services provided.
Meanwhile, the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Nazrin Shah could not stop thinking about the plight of the flood victims in Johor. He went to the Sultan and Raja Permaisuri (his father and mother) for their blessings and help. His family and the Sultan donated RM500,000. Several organizations in Perak saw this and decided to chip in another RM500,000, making the total RM1 million which was presented to the NSTP Flood Victims Assistance Fund.
So many organizations thereafter followed the Raja Muda's footstep with their contributions.
NSTP flood fund had received a total of RM3.5 million.
I hope these money will not be like the Tsunami fund which ultimately ended up, not with the victims, but with the treasury of which it was spent in all other things except for it's original purpose.
Very often, in times of disasters, where donations poured in by the millions, we will be hearing soon of the politicians who will be interested to manage these funds for distribution. They are so anxious and excited to play a helping hand, but only in managing the monies.

Wonder why the UMNO MPs did not contribute part of the RM600M during the general assembly.5% already RM30M.
hahahaha, you say , "I hope"
NST is losing money everyday, given the tsunami fund records, just forget the money.
BTW, Mave, you also forget that Malaysian VIP pledge has a tradition of NOT PAYING, especially after press conference. Similar to country the pledge for tsunami relief, but end up nothing.
Doing it is the key, not reading about it.
Neither is talking about it the key. Tell that to the politicians!
