Police Investigation: Discretionary & Arbitrary

The investigating officer was a graduate in business administration. He just graduated and joined the police force 2 months ago.

A newbie, he was instructed by his boss to conduct investigation of a murder case.

The investigation was conducted in a piecemeal manner. Evidence collected cannot satisfy the test of circumstantial evidence put forward by the prosecution. Actus Reus cannot be proved .

It took the police more than 6 days to arrived at the crime scene to comb for physical evidence. By that time, the scene was made good and clear.

This case involved the murder of Mohd Hosni at Ikhwan Auto, Ipoh. The accused is the son of former Ipoh Mayor Ismail Shah Bodin.

He is freed.

He is freed because the prosecution was dysfunctioning.

He is freed because the police intentionally appointed a fresh graduate to conduct the investigation.

We can be free too. Mahathir once said: If you want to commit a crime, come to Malaysia. How true.

But, watch out too! Sometimes crime can be fabricated too. Alternatively, the power that be, can also spin-you-out. Rock-Jeff Associates just traveled the path.

Pak Lah wins praise from Saudi Princess.

There may be sceptics but it is a chance to hear and be heard.

Pak Lah's view at the WEF plenary session drew spirited response. Pak Lah said the tension between the Muslim and the West is due to the conflict in Palestine. The participants were awed. It seems they all just realised it. It was a great piece of information for the West to digest and review and what more, it came from our Malaysian Prime Minister.

Saudi princess Lolwah Al-Faisal heap praises on our Prime Minister. "Finding a model nation was difficult but Malaysia is the closest".

What a title
"PM:The powerful not doing enough to resolve conflict"

In Msia context, the powerful is always working hard to create conflicts.

PM, get your own house in order first!

From the way things go, looks like they would intentionally appoint a judge who has just joined the judiciary in January 2008 to preside over the Altantuya murder case in March 2008. Then all the problems would be solved.

The scenario on the Palestine issue may change. If and when the issue is settled, the militants will find another cause to fight for. Treating the Palestine issue as the singular issue is not looking at the terrorism problem in its entirety.
