Maybe politikus think their don't have enough air time on TV and MSM, wanna squeeze those model out and show their ugly face in ads.

Pan-asian looks or not, I usually skip local ads. IMHO local ads industries is pretty stale on model, I really can't differentiate model from shampoo ads, sanitary pad, etc. And can you remember those "family face" from different ads? Nevertheless, those ads client should share big part of the problem for those blurring face ads.
