ACA's Dilemma

Prime Minister Pak Lah said he wants the probe into allegations of corruption and abuse of power against Anti-Corruption Agency Director-General Zulkipli Mat Noor to be conducted thoroughly.

"I had telephone the IGP Musa Hassan on the case. Zulkipli had been previously been investigated twice. When Zulkipli was appointed (by me) as the ACA D-G, he was cleared of the allegation. When his term was extended in 2005, another probe was conducted and it was found that there was no case."

I remembered Pak Lah had told us that he had always screen all appointments before deciding to accept them to lead. He had said that he would pick only those who have clean records and that he would exclude those under suspicious circumstances. This is the principles of integrity and good governance. It seems, it wasn't so. Is it ignorance or negligence or inconsistencies?

Lawyer M.Manohara alleged that his client (Abdul Kudus Ahmad) became victim while others got scot-free.

"Even the ACA boss himself is being investigated. But he has not been charged. Kayveas also has not been charged. Their hands are dirty but an innocent victim is being charged," said Manoharan.

"All charges against Kudus should be dropped as it was the ACA D-G who was responsible for Kudus being charged despite his (DG's) hands being dirty," Manoharan was quoted to have said.

"All charges against Kudus should be dropped as it was the ACA D-G who was responsible...despite his (DG's) hands being dirty" So all the crooks, buggers and swindlers jailed by the evidence gathered by the ACA should be freed immediately? Might as well empty all the prisons in this country

Either you have the death sentence for corruption or legalise it. No ifs or buts.

If badawi overlooked or misinformed, I can force myself to believe. He says, the DG was CLEANED. Then, how come the issue still pending and resurface now? Cleaned with detergent kah?

DO you know why PM is so frustrated with the slow implementation of 9MP?

1. Red tape in various level of agency to approve projects. These red tape opens up the window for corruption.

2. The mentality of civil cervant hardly changed since Tun retired as PM. New leadership by Pak Lah complicates the paradigm shift.

3. This ACA case proves that individual freedom can be bought at a price despite Pak Lah's call for corruption free govt. Instead, I see freedom in practicing corruption. Nevertheless, corruption is a universal problem. The issue here is the check and balance protocol in this country is governed by the ruling party.

Let's go straight to the point, vote opposition!
