Crooked Bridged & Speed Trained

"The project (high-speed train) raises questions about the government's priority. The logic for having this project is questionable."

This is Shahrir Samad's argument.

According to Shahrir, the high speed train would require a new bridge to be built to link Malaysia to Singapore. So Shahrir asked:

"Why is it that when we want the Causeway to be demolished to built a bridge, Singapore did not want it, but when it felt the high-speed train would be beneficial? How is it that Singapore can be keen on a new bridge?

Why is it that Pak Lah said the Cynic Bridge was canceled because it is in the interest of the Rakyat and it was the people's wish. Now, is this the peoples' wish too?

Shahrir said that if the government felt that travel time between KL and Singapore was crucial, then why did not the government first built the Double-tracked Railway from KL-Johor instead of KL-Kedah?

According to Shahrir, these development projects have made the Malaysian government a laughing stock. It's about wrong priority and idiotic decisions and one project behind it, as claimed by Shahrir, is the Iskandar Development Region.

Shahrir, you'll be in trouble with the regime, soon. The oligarchy cannot accept criticism and the King-maker will come after you ...very soon.
