If the discriminatory policies have now spilled down from the civil services to the private sectors, spearheaded by the government-link companies such as MayBank and another bank, the situation in the nation will cause much distress and discomfort. It will ultimately lead to disaster and racial tension.
There had already been cries in the marketplace and if such discontent are allowed to escalate further, it will in no time lead to the clash of civilisation. In fact, if you go around the foodstalls and hawker centres, we are hearing such angry words and some even suggested to boycott MayBank. It is not going to be good for the nation; I just pray that sanity will persist and that those who had cause such rife will wake up.
We further hope that affirmative actions by the power-that-is, would act without further delay to effectively soothe and overcome such dissatisfactions and bring sanity back to the system.
It looks like the leadership is losing control of the situation and allowing the little napoleans to puncture the social fabrics and ultimately cause socio-political divergence.
Let us all maintain our sanity and allow the system administrators make the necessary corrections.

Bad seeds sprout diseased trees. Bad policies beget bad consequences. The opposite word for "wise" is "foolish". At best, it should be called "stupidity". Thos under illusion called it "affirmative", I prefer to label it, "affliction". Unfortunately this decade old disease has become geriatric, thanks to the fertiliser of hotchpotch politics.
Maybe all non-Bumi individuals and companies having accounts in Maybank should withdraw their money and put it in banks that are not racist. Let's call a boycott on Maybank and give them a run on the money.
Throughout all the years of the NEP, the pain felt by non-Bumis was related to government policies and the actions of government departments.
Extension of the NEP via remote control into the policies of private companies is going to have huge repercussions with the non-Bumi community.
Will this finally wake them up ? Or will they still be convinced BN is the best way ?
People have no choice but to deal with govt depts on need basis, hence they swallow what is being dished out to them, albeit grudgingly.
But you don't HAVE to put your money or investments in a bank that practises discriminatory policies. Just like you don't HAVE to vote for your elected rep/party again in the next GE if he/she has not performed to your expectations. ;-)
But, as we all know, Malaysians are a rather apathetic lot. Most will just close one eye if they are not personally inconvenienced by the discriminatory policies. :-(
isnt this blatant racism? well...
Dear Friends,
It's truly sad that the nation had returned back to the dark ages...
clash of civilisation?
ROFL. I think it is more appropriate calling it "new Rent-seeking in the making".
