Raja Nazrin said: "In order to achieve Good Governance, the government must accord fully with the rule of law and the spirit of the law. "It does not result from, nor can it be justified by illegal or even legally-suspect actions. Unless the governors live well within the law, there can be no hope that the governed will do so."
Good governance could not exist if there was a lack of integrity, Raja Nazrin said.
For good governance to exist, Raja Nazrin said, there must be transparency and openness.
"The system of governance," he said, "must encourage the free flow of and easy access to information as the well-informed are in a better position to make informed decisions.
"Conversely, those who are badly informed will rely on half-truths and lies. They will have to depend on non-credible sources of information or they may have to remain ignorant."
This is Raja Nazrin advice to the government and to Pak Lah:
"I would suggest that if we are to realise a system of good governance in Malaysia, we will need to keep firmly on our minds and in our sights, what good governance is. Perhaps then, the process of change which has begun can accelerate."

It is timely and appropriate that Raja Nazrin has come out with this advice as more and more Malaysians feel that this Abdullah administration no longer deserve the support it got in 2004. This UMNO-led government has brought nothing but shame to this country compared to the previous administration under Dr Mahathir. It has under achieved and made the country step backwards instead of forward. It is not an underscore statement to suggest that those responsible should step down if they have any integity at all.
Raja Nazrin has said it, Sultan of Selangor has said it, RPK has said it. Lack of good governance - need change.
So, what comes next? It doesn't look like the present government is going to bend to superior arguemtns. It has kept its silence and the public is pregnant with anticipation.
So, what next? What? what? what?
Blame it on race politics? victimisation? The Jews are at it again?
When are the government ever going to come clean?
When royalty speaks, you know there is something very wrong with the current state of things.
