Lim Goh Tong Died
At 11.20am Today (Tuesday, 23rd October 2007) Genting Bhd founder, Lim Goh Tong passed away at the Subang Jaya Medical Centre. He managed to lived 90 year + 6 months on this earth, amassing wealth worth some RM15 billion (about USD$4.5bil).

He indirectly killed hundreds if not thousands of people (those who commit suicide after losing everything in his casino ), he too ruined a lot of peoples' carrers, busineses, families,futures.

Dear anonymous, think twice when you condemn LGT business model. After all, Genting doesn't do much harm compare to BAT,Petronas, Carlsberg.
Do you know that Petronas has involve in many conflict oil zone? For example, Burma, Sudan. And don't forget, the Islam Hadhari promoter name appear on the oil for food scandal.
1/2 cup full, 1/2 cup empty. If you think of it as going to a safe place to gamble, then its the casino. No black market gambling dens, dealing with mobsters, money lenders, etc.
If its anything to go by, his wealth is a function of man's pipe dream to easy money.

Business is business, and u can't mix in business with some kind of moral value of yours. And perhaps this is why we, Chinese excelled in business, cause we can see and differentiate clearly between business and other things.
