Perak Mufti Datuk Harussani Zakaria said the Chinese and Indians are the ones that are bullying the Malays and he is affirmative in his statement; he said: "This I know!".
As a Chinese I don't know how I had bullied the Malay community or the Muslims. As we can observed in the public places, I have not seen any part of the Chinese or Indian Community that had being bullying the Malays. In fact, my Malay friends and students often come to me for help and assistance and I had provided them the services almost all the time, and free-of-charge. I am sure many of them are readers of my blog and will attest to it. I have also observed that so many others are doing the same and vice versa.
Even if you look at Barisan Nasional, you can't find any element of MCA, Gerakan or MIC bullying UMNO or anything discriminating to Malays. If ever they had made any requests, what they had asked is for equality and fairness to prevail. So, how does Mufti Harrussani derived his affirmative conviction? I hope all of you, Malays, Chinese and Indians watch this video and ponder at what he had said.
The question arise is how did he came to this ideological conception and bias contention. He is a Mufti and he believes in the words of the Quran. Did his words and belief conforms to Islamic principles and values? Didn't it illustrate that he has had bias mentality and ideology?
I can attest that the Quran is a most wonderful documents with plenty of love, compassion and tolerance. The Quran states: "Allah hath full knowledge of those who do mischief (Surah 3: 63). In Al Maidah, it is stated that Muslims must do impartial justice; they must appreciate piety, humility and other good points. They must enjoy with gratitude all that is good and lawful but guard themselves against excess, swearing, intoxication, gambling, violation of the sanctuary, superstitions of all kinds, and false evidence are condemned. In Surah Al Baqarah verse 256, it was stated that: "Let there be no compulsion in religion.: Truth stands out clear from error." Surah 2:268-269: "And Allah careth for ALL and He knoweth all things. He granteth wisdom to whom He pleaseth; and He to whom wisdom is granted receiveth indeed a benefit overflowing; but none will grasp the Message but men of understanding." Is Harrussani, a Mufti, a man of understanding?
True wisdom is firm and enduring, and discerns Allah's Law in the working of His Creation; it looks to the final end of things, whose mystery is only known to Allah (Surah 31: 20-34)
Such men behave as if they had heard nothing of serious import, or laugh at serious teaching. The loss will be their own. They will miss the higher things of life and be left out of Allah's blessings. Ignorance and Arrogance are in most cases the causes of their fall (Abdullah Yusuf Ali, The Holy Quran)

Perhaps what is most deafening is that neither the MCA or MIC have refuted this statement by the Perak Mufti.
The least I would have expected them to do is to request the Perak Mufti to provide facts of his allegations.

If a manufacturer is unethical, it is not bully. Jakim should take action to protect the Muslims and I totally support a legal action to punish those who abuses the law. It doesn't matter who that manufacturer is, be it Chinese, Indian, or even Muslims themselves. As long as they are not certified by the relevant authority, the manufacturer should be punished. But that is not "Bully"; that's unethical behavior which is not confine to a race; it's a company belonging to someone and it could be a company co-owned by the three races.

Within our social fabric, the community at-large must have the full respect of each others sensitivity and humility. I am not sure about qualification per se but to be qualified in Islamic knowledge, I believe, a Muslim who had grasp the knowledge expounded in the Quran and the Al hadith and follows the teaching of Allah should be considered qualified, irrespective of his tertiary background.
Mufti is a job. A position.

The way I interpret the above, there is nothing to stop a Muslim from drinking alcohol. It says to guard against "intoxication", which means one can drink but not over indulging until one gets drunk. If it had said "They must enjoy with gratitude all that is good and lawful but guard themselves against .....drinking alcohol, etc.", then it is absolutely clear that no Muslim can drink liquor or any form of alcohol. Can any Muslim on this blog verify where it is stated in the Holy Book very distinctively without ambiquity, that one cannot drink alcohol?

Sincere apologies to any pigs who are offended by their level of intelligence compared with the small minded ignorance of Harussani. It is after all just a normal everyday expression for the terminally ignorant. In fact pigs are intelligent animals, they are as trainable as dogs and in many ways smarter.
