He is 29-year-old and jobless. He went home drunk and had an argument with his wife. He got angry and set fire to a mattress.The fire gutted his house. He now is not only jobless; he's homeless too. But that act not only caused him distress and homeless. 40 other homes with a total of 52 families at Kg Muhibbah were all burnt to ashes because of him.
He allegedly used a samurai sword to threaten firemen who were trying to put out the fire.
He paid the price for his act and his stupidity. But all other 52 families who are innocent are now impoverish and made homeless as a result of one man being angry and drunk.

I too, felt sad and angry for the others who lost their homes because of this irresponsible man..:-(

The Law says: the act is unlawful and the person can be indicted for a criminal act and if found guilty, would be jailed.
At the same time, those who had suffered damages can take civil suit to claim for damages. But this would be futile as he is penniless. So, the best option is to claim from insurance if they are insured. If not insured, I'm sorry...nothing can be done.
