MIC regrets; Devamany spared!

It's over!

Devamany and MIC is let off the HOOK!

He was let off without a suspension or warning over his remarks in Parliament.

The main media claimed that Devamany broke ranks with the Barisan Nasional when he said that 50,000 people showed up at Hindraf demonstration.

But the truth was, he made so many other statements about the plight of the Indians, many of which are consistent with the claims by Hindraf. This should be the reason he was "indicted" by the BN whip. Anyway, Devamany denied he was championing the Indians' cause. he clarified that what he said at the Parliament was intended to express concern over the plight of the Indian community of which it was addressed to the Government and MIC through the BN spirit.

As highlighted in the NST today, Devamany regrets criticizing BN aka UMNO.

So, Devamany and MIC regretted championing the Indians' plight. They can only, as a member of BN, and as a subordinated minority party within BN, allowed to express concern, and addressed the concerns to the government and MIC through the BN spirit. And BN spirit must mean UMNO's spirit.

"I regret my statement in parliament which had created problems for the BN," Devamany said.

"Najib has assured me the legitimate concerns will be addressed by the BN."

Devamany was thankful to Najib and nazri. They were both very nice to him. Devamany reiterated his support for the BN leadership and said: "My support cannot be questioned."

Nazri said they did not "Gag" their members. MPs are allowed to voice their opinion, so long as the opinion was within the BN framework as approved by UMNO.
