Hishamuddin: BN in Denial Syndrome

Barisan Nasional has to rid itself of the denial syndrome and accept the people’s choice in the election, Umno Youth Chief Hishammuddin Hussein said today. He said the BN should now work harder to meet the needs of the people.

“MPs must now look at their self worth and effectiveness as this is critical in serving the public better in light of the election results,” he added.

Hishamuddin, was speaking to reporters after launching the ICT Conference and Exhibition 2008.

“We have now to go out and work to win back a greater degree of public confidence," Hishamuddin said.

He said the BN was ready to work with the opposition parties in states under their control.

He added that the Opposition would have to prove their worth in developing and administering a multi-ethnic society and deliver what they had promised.

Dear Hishamuddin,

I agree with all what you had said; wholeheartedly. If Barisan Nasional and its MPs and ministers had always maintain such positive attitudes and also critical reflective attitudes, the people would not be so frustrated with the system.

Oh BTW, BN must eliminate the massive corruption within its system; it must also eliminate cronyism and nepotism of the highest order; and most of all, it must dismantle the 4th floor wealth-grabbers. Don't forget to re-instate the independent judicial system, ensuring the separation of powers for the three organs of the government. We need an honest, truthful and caring government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Do all these, and BN will get back what it lost by the next election.

You missed out on the retraction of the Kris wielding incident

fcuk the Youth chief..he cannot be trusted to say anything. Once he gets back inot his Youth uniform, he will draw his kris again. There is something wrong with this chap, like he feels he is less of a man if he does not stand on the rostrum with the unsheathed kris.

He has said it after the last youth meeting..he will draw the kris out again to "desensitize"..whatever that means. WTF ..who is he to carry a kris unsheathed and can get away with it. I have seen kris only in royal proceedings. Who is the Youth Chief...no connection with royalty at all.
