NST-Chandra correction

NST Correction

[quote]

OUR report "Chandra breaks silence on Anwar" yesterday erroneously stated that Dr Chandra Muzaffar had quit the then Parti Keadilan Nasional in December 2005.

The correct date is December 2001.

Also, Chandra was quoted as saying that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim "was also responsible for appointing non-Chinese administrators in Chinese schools, which led to a political crisis in 1987".

The quote should have been that Anwar was responsible for appointing non-Mandarin speaking administrators in Chinese schools. [unquote]

What's the problem with non-Chinese administrators or non-Mandarin speaking administrators? As long as the interest of the schools are upheld and affirmatively implemented for the benefits of all the students, what's wrong?

In Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China there were Europeans, Americans and others who were made administrators of schools and universities and the schools and students were doing well.

The main concerned is the worry that those administrators had no understanding of the culture and traditional philosophies of those Chinese schools' customs and may apply their personal ideology and doctrines which are detrimental to the institution and which would impair the educational standards of the students and the interest of the community as a whole.

Isn't the NST trying to be racist? Aren't they playing the race cards? The nation are already so divided between the races and there's already so much fears and phobias; why aren't they putting efforts of social integration?

ROFL.

NST are so desperate to fight Anwar and forgot that the whole issue are turning against Barisan Nasional, it expose barisan nasioanl rubbish.

We know the vernacular school suppression continue under current administration, and continue to do so after this election, unless the opposition are able to denied BN 2/3 majority.

Moo_t,

The problem with the govt is not that the people is divided; it's they who everyday reminds us to be divided.
