Women NGO wants BN to form Perak Govt

What a joke from the 9 women group calling themselves NGOs but are UMNO Exco members.

Nine women NGOs have made an urgent plea for the Sultan of Perak Sultan Azlan Shah to postpone the swearing-in ceremony scheduled tomorrow and to consider instead the option of a minority BN government.
In a hastily called press conference leading to it being held at the coffee house of a hotel here, the group representatives said they were worried and had no confidence that the coalition government of DAP, Parti Keadilan Rakyat and PAS would be able to achieve a stable state government.

The group, naming themselves the Perak Malay Women NGO Meeting, cited the much-publicised bickering of the three parties as a pointer to this assumption which they reached in a meeting on Saturday. The nine organisations are the districts Perak Women and Family Development Council, the (WI) Women Grouping, Gerakwanis Belia 4B, Perak Malaysian Muslim Women Welfare Body, Perak Women Cooperative, members of the Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan (PPK), Jawatankuasa Kemajuan dan Keselamatan Kampung (JKKK), the Henry Gurney Alumni and the women members of the Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung (GPMS).

The group’s chairman Datuk Kamilia Ibrahim, who is also Wanita Umno Exco member, said the respective organisations agreed to submit written legal submissions from both lawyers and constitutional experts to Sultan Azlan Shah on the matter of the minority state government proposal.

The group intend to teach Sultan Azlan Shah about constitutional laws and advice the Sultan on the legal loopholes in how to get Barisan Nasional to take control of the state government.

One of the method is to first name Tajol Rosli as MB and then the MB can appoint 3 "senators" (appointed assemblymen) into the state assembly which would eventually give BN the 31 seats majority. This method was first suggested by Datuk Harris of the former Party Berjaya of Sabah when he lost the state to Joseph Pairin Kittingan of PBS.

Well, UMNO now is using NGOs to influence the people and also the Sultans. They had used the Indians to demonstrate in Komtar Penang. We don't know what they can't do.

Hello!
Senators are not part of the state assembly - they are in the house of senate.
Like that also can?

Why not appoint umno as "Government-for-Life" in this country, in much the same way as the Dalai Lama is the "Godking-for-Life" in Tibet?

I can understand if simple folk don't undertand the concept of the ballot box but senators rejecting the democracy they swore to uphold? Wow...

Those sour-grapes losers and crooks from BN are insulting the intelligence of his HRH Sultan of Perak who once held the highest Judiciary post in this country.

We have harebrains from MCA calling DAP traitors because they betrayed Chinese voters by allowing a PAS man to be MB. They should be banished from Perak by the HRH.

Now we have female jokers from BN in the guise of NGOs trying to make a fool out of one of the most qualified and capable Ruling family in the Country.

I suggest they all apologise publicly before someone lodge an official police and palace report.

Doc, you are right, they are turning economy to art. Now they want to make another breakthrough, turnning mathematics to arts.

Don't these clowns know who is the Sultan of Perak? He's the judge during the time our judiciary system can be look up. If anyone knows about law of the country, it is him.

Shesh.

Your claim that "They had used the Indians to demonstrate in Komtar Penang." is false. They ain't just no Injuns, they're the proud descendants of Parameswara, though many of them came from India just a couple of years ago. In their veins and arteries flow the blood of great conmen such as the mamak ex-pm, Zam Nuddin the defeated umno candidate of SP, Chand Mustafa the anti-Anwar wheelchair critic and the like.... Give 'em the respect they crave for. s the Americans say, "a good Injun is a dead Injun"

Cruel Angel,

They have personal interests and their benefits via the crony system will come to an end.

Moo_t,

You are observant.

Bibliobibuli,

Respect is not in their dictionary.

Helen,

This is not a joke; but these are jokers.

Saw the headlines in the newspaper but never bother to read. If it is true that these are really UMNO's members, then they are indirectly insulting the intelligence of the Sultan.
