Islam stress transparency & Justice for all

Jamaah Islah Malaysia (JIM) Penang adviser Dr Danial Zainal Abidin said representatives from the organisations met Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng yesterday morning and realised that the state government was not against the NEP.

“Lim told us that he had no intention of throwing away the NEP. He, however, mentioned that it had been tainted with cronyism and corruption, and that is what he wants to throw away, not the entire NEP.

“So, if that is the idea, then we agree with him,” Dr. Danial Zainal Abidin said.

Dr Danial said Islam stressed on transparency and justice not only for Muslims but also for all religions and races and that the NGOs want the government to be transparent and clean.

“I think YAB has listened and agreed to what we said. If he can fulfil these, then it is in line with Islamic regulations and rules,” he said.

What is wrong with transparency and having a clean and fair government? Isn't this what Malaysians wants? Isn't this the moral code of UMNO too? Or, UMNO is saying corruption is what they want in interpreting Malaysia as an Islamic state?

If UMNO also believes in a clean and fair government, why are they afraid of transparency and justice for all citizens, Muslims and non-Muslims? Is UMNO preaching Islam as justice means discrimination of all others except themselves? Is this Islam?

Shame on UMNO; they can cook the Quran and interpret it in the way that promotes discrimination and cronyism. NEP is about assisting everyone who is poor and needed assiatance, not stealing the nation to make UMNO leaders rich and powerful; not about making UMNO president's family and son-in-law ultra rich and all others to remain poor. It will take some time for the virtues of Islam to sink into the head of UMNO leaders who pretend they understand Islam and is protecting the Malays.

Dr Danial was right; Islam promotes justice for all; Islam promotes honesty and Islam promotes a clean and fair government. That is Islam.

Twisted PR.

I think this JIM people really don't understand. ;)

"Lim told us that he had no intention of throwing away the NEP."

ROFL. The root of NEP are circle around 30% quota for not valid reason, unlimited timeline. Open tender, the whole NEP cease to exist. ;)

Well, JIM should not talk cock about NEP, after all, that is none of their business anyway, they should talk about religion. And there is no solid standing ground for NEP in Islam, because it breed corruption and cronies...

We know that government setup JIM mean to "monopolised" the interpretation rights of the Quran. Alas, it is a dangerous policies, fundies will consume them someday.

Oh wait, did Dr Danial talk about freedom inside Islam? And how about "fake prophet" that interpret Islam with their way?

If to be fair, why have to be along the Islam's Rules? Taking NEP religious besides racial?

If the women's wing is ready to take up competition on a level playing field shouldn't the adviser tell the truth to the younger generation that Malay quota is a poisoned candy to keep Malay only "competitive" under quota?

If Muslim NGO continued to demand privilege on face of "religion", they are continued to disturb the fairness for others! And, continuing poisoning Muslim with the mind of "privileges"!!

Are these being in the Quran?
Taking Muslim or Islam as a Mask to get privilege is an insult to religion!! And, it has been the root of the loopholes for UNMO and BN!!

Religious misleading should not only be punishable by court but by God or Alah, in this case!!

Fairness with a Privilege is a JOKE!

"Dr Danial said Islam stressed on transparency and justice not only for Muslims but also for all religions and races and that the NGOs want the government to be transparent and clean."

So, has he been sleeping for the UNMO and BN government when Transparency and Justice can hardly be found there?

Time should come one day for cleaning up NGO with masks!

I'll bet that the MSM controlled by BN-related parties will be spinning overtime to tell lies and twisted stories to all the Muslims about how the Penang government has not kept to its promises. This will be their agenda for the next 4-5 years.

the good doctor has made a loaded statement, note there are two ifs, one, if that was the idea, ..... then,....if he can fulfill these,..

he is cautious, unconvinced from what i can read thereof.

why did JIM not approach UMNO and ask them what they were doing?

what is sauce for the goose should be sauce for the gander.

the double standards are for them to practice, when an equal playing field / transparency is presented, it becomes a threat, .....a threat to their pockets.

'..UMNO; they can cook the Quran and interpret it in the way that promotes discrimination and cronyism.."

I doubt if UMNO or any other party can quote a single ayat to effect the above. Malpractice is not the Deen, but transgressors greed.

My apology but moo_t should not presume things he/she dont know; "..We know that government setup JIM mean to "monopolised" the interpretation rights of the Quran.."

JIM is not government establishment but rather in the same way as ABIM; both anti UMNO in concept. However ABIM aligned with UMNO for pragmatism when Anwar joined UMNO.

JIM was a development of a Malaysian Islamic Student Association in the UK from late 70s. It's objective was formulation of Islamic State same as PAS but with different approach.

JIM was formed to forged these students who came back and found PAS and ABIM not enough to suit their particular ideological understanding.

You're right though that JIM shouldnt be talking about NEP because it is not a religious issue that JIM stand for.

We should be supporting all those who support good governance.

The unfortunate malays or other races should get the benefit from good governance. No doubt that we want development.

The question is, is the development really for the people or it is to create oppurtunity to only some people.

We hope the BR will walk their talks. Bikin serupa cakap.

Don't get the power go into your head.

Moo_t,

Gukita had explain JIM's history and he was right to point out that JIM is a religious group to promote Islam and not promote NEP.

Sharing,

Islam states in no uncertain term that honesty and justice must be granted to everyone, including non-Muslims. Islam is pure and if there's any controversy, it is those individuals or interested parties who are using and abusing the religion causing anxieties and promoting Islamophobias.

The non-Muslims shouldn't fear Islam; we fear those with personal interest and evil motives.

Bayi,

Let's be aware of MSM's malice.

Jefus,

I believed JIM was fair in their comments.

Hasilox,

For whatever reason we may be upset over some bigots, let's not promote corruption and cronyism. BR must promote a clean and fair government of the people, for the people and by the people.

Gukita,

I have to agree with your statement and I hope Muslims will stand to correct those misleading statements and interpretation of those transgressors. They are tarnishing Islam which is a pure religion.

Tak Tumbuh Tak Melata,

I agree with you that BR must now walk the talk.

CMBSS,

Thanks for the link.
