April 14 - the birth of Keturunan Malaysia

Pakatan Rakyat supremo and PKR's de facto charismatic leader Anwar Ibrahim assured all Malaysians that his government-in-waiting will ensure that all the rights and privileges of the Malays as provided for in the federal constitution are fully protected, and that Pakatan Rakyat will champion for all the rights of all Malaysians.

“All of you will witness this tonight. We will not talk about Malay supremacy but the supremacy for all Malaysians,” said Anwar Ibrahim to the cheering crowd, most of whom are Malays, at the mass gathering held at Kelab Sultan Sulaiman in Kampung Baru to mark Anwar's Liberty Day.

Maybe we should erect a Statute of Liberty for Anwar so that all Malaysians can remember that April 14, 2008 is the day where the nation declared it as "Hari Keturunan Malaysia" - Malaysian Supremacy; a the birth of a nation of people who are colorless in the eyes of everyone, and the respect and empathy given by everyone to anyone; a nation free of corruption of the highest level with a sound and profound judicial system manned by socio-political philosophers full of wisdom and competent in the law of jurisprudence; and a nation who would use it's God-given resources for the benefit of the people of the nation; and a police force that ensures zero crime, fairness and judicious in their undertakings of their duties and responsibilities; and most of all, a nation that have peace and enjoys prosperity.

All Malaysians have now a hope, a hope we had been hoping for the last 50 years; a hope that no one should be poor and destitute; a hope that we will all respect each other as Malaysians, not differentiated by color, creed or class; a hope that our children will have good and adequate education without the anxieties and worries of school and university fees and that the degree obtained is not just a piece of paper equivalent to a toilet paper of competent to clean asses, but a piece of paper to certify that the graduates have acquired the right knowledge and well-prepared to contribute to the corporate world-at-large and of which the graduates will be the envy of all other nations; and most of all, we have a hope that we in fact had elected wise and intelligent beings to be law-makers, who would ensure that the parliamentary institution is not a zoo filled with monkeys with human bodies.

Our hope now lies with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his Pakatan Rakyat because Barisan Nasional had failed us miserably and would not even apologize to us even after they had found out the fact as evidenced from the March 08 general election results. The people were challenged by the minister to go to the ballot boxes to show their disappointments and frustrations; we did, but even today, we observed that they are not contrite, and on the contrary, acted to fuel further discrimination. When will Umno learn? When will MCA and MIC learnt? When will Barisan wake up to the realities? They are busy fighting among themselves; and they are also busy finding ways to pilfer federal funds allocated for the 5-Pakatan Rakyat's state councils and tourism programmes. When will these corrupt ministers stop corrupting and believe in Allah?

You know, what Anwar is today is pretty much what Pak Lah was in 2004.

Anwar is articulating all our hopes and wishes. He is the new darling after the old one fell short on his promises.

Only time will tell whether he is the real deal for all of us. Hopefully, he will go down in Malaysian history as a respected figure much like Tunku Abdul Rahman.

ENUF TALKING, JUST GO AND KICK BN OUT & FORM THE NEXT GOVERNMENT.

HE CAN'T POSSIBLY BE WORSE THAN THE FIL-SIL TEAM.

AND IF HE DIDN'T FULFILL THE PEOPLE EXPECTATION, THEN KICK HIM OUT AS WELL IN THE NEXT ELECTION.

Just between us Mave, I'm sien already hearing 'we have enough seats to form new Govt" talk. Timing is everything. Repeat too much and no action just make people frustrated.

I don't want to hear anymore... just do it. Talk is cheap.

Anak Merdeka,

I do not see the similarity between Pak Lah of 2004 and Anwar of today.

I see a new rejuvenated Anwar, who had spent 6 years in prison for wrongs that he can't imagine, conspired by people who were his own.

We have a better hope than the last 50 years ever had been; I am confident, at least for the next 10 years.

Helen,

I do not wish Pakatan to take over the federal govt now; they must win by merit and I hope they used this 5 years to prove that they are different and competent.

mave,

agree with u. pakatan should govern the states well 1st. then win by merit without all these defectors from BN which will taint the whole pakatan.
