Ex-Selangor MB Dr Mohd Khir Toyo today exposes Samy Vellu and claimed that Samy was the chief culprit behind the controversial demolition of the Kampung Rimba Jaya Hindu temple near Shah Alam - he now claims that MIC president S Samy Vellu had instructed him to do so.“Samy Vellu called me on the night of Nov 15 and told me that Hindraf (Hindu Rights Action Force) people had infiltrated the temple and that it must be demolished that night itself,” alleged Khir.

Now that he is no longer MB Khir Toyo is more daring to expose all the misdeed and wrongs of his fellow colleagues rather than taking the full blame himself.

However, Samy Vellu refuted Khir Toyo's claim. Samy Vellu also pointed out that during the demolition exercise, enforcement officers had only targeted the temple and not the houses."This showed their hatred for the temple," he stressed.
The MIC president also disclosed that he telephoned Khir several times and politely asked him not to demolish the temple since it was Deepavali time.
"But he kept saying that a court order had been obtained. So I thought this man is not going to listen.
Asked why the former menteri besar was so adamant in wanting to demolish the temple, Samy Vellu said that Khir "wanted to prove a point."
He said when Abdullah had asked Khir about the matter, the latter once again cited the court order as an excuse.
"I am surprised by his statement. How can I tell him to demolish a temple which was already demolished?" Samy asked.
"It was under his order that more than 500 enforcement personnel from the local authorities from various districts came to demolish just one temple.
"If all local authorities were to send enforcement officers to Shah Alam, who could have given such a directive except him," Samy said.
"I told him 'You are not only destroying your political career, you will also destroy my political career if you continue with the demolition'.
"He just said 'no, no such thing'."

U should do it before the temple demolish. Now u fight for what , want to prove who si wrong.
Wrong or wright , for people is definately wrong and u already know the result from rakyat exp Hindu.
Now u should question urself ... what are lesson u learnt. Start to improve and ensure similar incident from re-occurance. Samy u are the ex Indian leader and now u need to faced new group claimed to be Indian hero. I don;t care who is the leader but the most important thing do the right thing at first time. My suggection Samy and Hindraf ledaer , pls think about the next generation of Indian. Do not fight for ur own seek. We want leader care for us and not leader care for leader. Hope to see some changes

Based on what I've read during the period of the incidence, I think Samy is more correct. Khir Toyol is suffering from "self-serving memory".

there's a reason that these 2 people are not being voted for by the people in our last general elections. Pak Lah's directive to stop BN leaders to stop bickering does not apply to them anyway because, frankly who are these two people now anyway, and why should we even care?

so here's what i have to say..not that i find samy vellu a rockstar (and nobody can say that I'm being racist because i'm Indian myself!), but i personally find khir toyo really incompetent as a leader. his leadership is proven to be a failure - even voted out. i just hope that pak lah will now apply more wisdom in choosing leaders who are able to gain trust from his people...

Khir Toyo was an apprentice when Dr M made him MB. He then made good progress and did well till money and wealth becomes the sole objective in life.
