MCA ex-councillors wants to handle federal funds

MCA minister for Housing and Local Government Datuk Ong Ka Chuan said Barisan Nasional councillors who had to quit in Pakatan Rakyat-led states should be made to control the distribution of funds provided by federal Government for new villages and even residential areas.

This is to ensure that there is a mechanism for them to contribute positively to help spent the Federal funds; otherwise they would be sitting and idling around with nothing to do.

How true! MCA ex-councillors are so used to spending federal monies and they will feel vegetative and will suffer strokes if they do not have monies to handle. We should also hear of Umno and MIC ex-councillors who would be demanding that federal funds be also directed to their pockets for them to handle. It is important for the nation to continue to feed these parasites. We citizens have to accept the fact that we have elected them and allowed them to be parasitic for decades, and now they are dumped they will become vegetative and suffer. Morally, we now owe them a duty to rehabilitate them by continuing to allow them to suck, at least until the coffers are dry.

Meanwhile, TNB also said its profit fell by 32% due to higher costs of coal and higher payments to IPPs.

TNB made a net profit of RM1.06 billion in the quarter to February 29, 2008 versus RM1.55 billion in the same period last year.

The citizens also have to help TNB to increase its profit. TNB would be thankful if we allow the tariffs to be increased by 100% or if possible by 300%. This way it will proof that Che Khalib will be the greatest CEO in the world. It should be okay because the citizen should still be alive though half-dead.

TNB warned that its future profits would be crimped by rising fuel charges and unless the government step in to inflate the tariff charges they should not blame Che Khalib for its dismal financial results.

We should also be hearing from MAS CEO Idris Jala soon.

these 2 news are the testimonials to the fact that some Malaysians' mind are really crippled!!! it's the karma. we had been cultivating them to become like tis in the past 50 yrs. no more!!!

buck up and face the challenges. the "gomen-must-help-me" mentality will drag the whole country to drain.

Yeah, and taxpayers need not pay their taxes to the Federal Govt but to their respective State Govt so that they can get the development they deserve

They still treat the country's money as their personal money. Don't think such nonsense will stop until they are kicked out of the gov. Only then they can start to re-learn to govern again.

"Ex-councillors....otherwise they would be sitting and idling around with nothing to do." Isn't that what they are supposed to do once they have been voted out of the Office?? You mean once I have been terminated by my boss, I could still use the company's money otherwise I got nothing to do?? Barisan=Pig brain!!

If that's the TNB way of running a corporation, then any idiot also can be a great CEO of TNB! Hah ha ha.

Yeah, why would we want another Dept headed by ousted councillors to 'control the distribution of funds'?

The reason cited is to ensure the interest of the public is looked after. If so, why just the 5 states? If they're so concern for the welfare of the kampung and village folks, let's make the check and balance practise throughout Malaysia.

another one of pig brained policy by idiots.

if they got nothing to do, the state govt might as well allocate a acre of land for them to 'tanam padi', at least they can contribute to the national paddy policy and help the economy.

its as good as putting money into their pockets.
gee, they are good spenders. 50 million in 27 days. and when questioned, they refer you to the district officers for information.
just wondering if the funds were channelled thru them or the district offices. clarification anyone?

I don't like the sound of all those lists he's making - it's like intriguing too innumerable notes at school; you experience you've achieved something when you haven't.
