Division secretary Ramli Mohd Yunus said division chairman Datuk Ahmad Lebai Sudin would hold discussions soon with the party leadership to check exploitation by the "enemies of Umno".
"I have checked the identities of the people who claimed they are leaving the Sri Tanjung branch and more than 50 per cent of them are not members," he said on a claim by branch chairman Baharuddin Mahmood that he and 155 members had decided to follow Dr Mahathir.

Is Umno going to audit their total membership and clean up their membership rolls?
There's just too many phantom members around everywhere.
The observation reveals that Umno do not have as many members as claimed. In June 2003, Umno secretary-general Tan Sri Khalil Yaakob claimed Umno has a total of 3.38 million members. And if half of them are phantoms, then the election at the Umno general assemblies over the last 5 years would be null and void.
Malaysia is a land of phantoms.

Suddenly UMNO realises that the 3.4 million members that UMNO boast off is actually fake.
In actual fact UMNO do not have as many members as claimed,but the names of dead members plus buffaloes,seladang and selembu outnumber the actual members in their membership database.
Do U think Tan Sri Khalil Yaakob got he time to do the checking? Making big bucks is more prifitable rather tracking UMNO membership.

At the rate of scandals involving UMNO is exposed..maybe we should institutionalise a Royal Commission full time like Suhakam..and open an office at the UMNO HQ.
Aw, don't be like that. Malays always had hantus, all kinds, even in P. Ramlee movies. True, P. Ramlee movies don't run the country. UMNO has also been ruining the country only (not running it...that was left to a small a cabal made up of top UMNOputeras, a few MCA leaders and one Indian), OK?
I seriously doubt that UMNO even exist by looking at the phantom members. This implies that UMNO is the weakest party in BN component. Sheehh! The minority controls the government of the day. How MCA and MIC react to the issue?
