Umno's racial Conspiracy

On March 10 (or 11, as PAS Abdul Khalid Samad could not remember the exact date) Umno president Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, former Selangor menteri besar Dr Mohd Khir Toyo and PAS leaders, Nasharudin Mat Isa, Mustafa Ali and Khalid Samad were huddled together in a building in Kuala Lumpur for a secret meeting.

PAS committee member Abdul Khalid Samad revealed that Khir Toyo had proposed during the meeting that Umno and PAS form a joint government to rule Selangor.

Khalid who is also the MP for Shah Alam, claimed that the meeting was colored with a racial agenda - to halt the predominantly Chinese DAP from making inroads into the Selangor government.

Khalid said Khir Toyo was willing to become deputy menteri besar if Selangor PAS commissioner Dr Hassan Ali is made menteri besar.

According to Khalid, "Khir said (at the meeting) this was one of the solutions to overcome the problems facing Islam and the Malays," he added.

We can observed with clarity and empirically that Islam can be used to grab power and also Islam can also be used as a tool for racial divide. Islam was thus extremely useful for human purposes - the greed for power, wealth and positions.

Umno was prepared to bow down to PAS and play second fiddle so long as they can hold on to power-sharing and to continue to rule the state. How they would later deal with PAS's power was secondary and unimportant at that moment so long as PAS is willing to collaborate with them in the game of power and help them to maintain a stranglehold albeit the fact that they would play the role of mistresses. Thereafter, they can later have secret deals with the others from DAP and PKR ADUNs and uses money and positions to buy over a few of them into BN which would then give BN the majority control; thus overthrow PAS.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi admitted that Umno had held three top-leadership meetings with PAS to discuss the situation of Islam and Malays in the country. However, he declined to elaborate.

Last night, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang also confirmed that talks took place between the two parties.

Pak Lah had always emphasized that he is the PM for all Malaysians - the Malays, Indians, Chinese, Ibans, Kazadans, Dayaks, etc. But he was in a secret meeting to conspire using the racial cards as the prime motive - that they want to halt the predominantly Chinese DAP from making inroads into the Selangor government. That was revealed by PAS Khalid Samad.

Pak Lah, are you still a PM for all Malaysians?

The PeeAm as I observed only tell the rakyat that he was PM for all races but that is just another of his many empty talks to make people happy to hear what he has to say.

In reality, he is a different animal altogether.

I seek not riches untold

I seek not millions
To live a life of plenty;
I seek not friends so many
To live a life of profligacy;
I seek he who is al-Ghazali
I seek he who is al-Shafie
To unravel the secrets in the Holy Book
Seeking inspiration
To unravel the secrets in the ways of the Prophet
Seeking guidance
I live only for Him my Lord

He suffices
I live a life full of meaning

What's your problem? Isn't that what democracy is all about? We, the Malays, are the majority. In pure democracy, we rule!

So the Malays are divided now. That gives the Chinese a headway to rule the country/state. So if the Chinese have their way, and grabs power, would Malaysia be democratic?

The Malays give their votes to the Opposition purely because of their disgust for the present UMNO leadership, Abdullah Badawi. Yes, the same person you people are cursing left right and center.

Bottom line, the Malays will rule this country. And the Malays will have to recognize the presence of the non-Malays in the country and work out a formula to satisfy their needs (as a community.) And those needs are very simple; a voice in determining how the country should be ruled and the opportunities for the Chinese to 'cari makan.'

That formula has been implemented since the liberation of this country. (I do not like to use the misnomer term independence.) And generally, it has worked. The voice being represented by MCA and the economy skewed to the non-Malays.

What is happening is that the present leadership is so focused on accumulating wealth, that it has intentionally thrown the country into disarray so that its can concentrate in its core objective.

'Khalid who is also the MP for Shah Alam, claimed that the meeting was colored with a racial agenda - to halt the predominantly Chinese DAP from making inroads into the Selangor government.'

Is this true or just accusation to shed a bad light on Pak Lah?
Khalid is a politician, a strategist that needs to think what's best for him; we as mature rakyats need not to believe and take 'bulat-bulat' what Mr. Khalid has to say.
Yes Pak Lah did say that the meeting took place but is it true that they were indeed discussing about overthrowing the DAPs? Where's the concrete prove for this aside from Khalid's statement?
If we were to accept this 'bulat-bulat' then we are playing right into Khalid's game, which is destroying the racial harmony. A very dangerous situation indeed.

Yea, all politicians talk alot and we must be prudent to take all they say with a pinch of salt and never as biblical truth until it's corroborated. Khalid has also said before they will try to TALK UMNO into joining PAS, did anyone take that serious?

Anonymous said...

coorperating with PAS is a lose situation with BN. there is no brainer with BN to realise this. BN can only see the short term gain.

in fact coorperating with DAP is even better, cos being a monority, they can never be PM, despite how good they are. so BN position is more secured, while using the chinese who are good in almost anything except religion to engineer the nation.

not using the chinese intellectual is like Hitler who refuse to use the Jews during WW2. Had he been smarter, the country who developed the nuclear bomb would have been Germany instead of America.

being silly as BN are, the next PM could be from PAS. and the worst is coming...

think about it?

I can' see why any bad problems when PAS had recently met UMNO. Yup still most of the extremists tend to divert the issues into an racial sensitive issue. It is then misunderstandings between islam and non-islam people developed.

A dialogue discussion called 'muzakarah' is a gud way of discussing issues in which islam audiences are encourage and should not say no to it.

So, definitely each party can't say no. However, agreeing issues discussed after the meeting is another thing.

From my understanding malay/muslim unity is important in Malaysia because the policy of the country is based on Islam as its national official religion and malay race as its majority populations and rights which is considered in the past history of the country.

Anonymous said...

redbag,

you have very poor understanding, anyone would have know what I meant already. just ask anyone around you.

as a political party, ask yourself what do BN wants, and what do PAS want? Is there a common ground between them for coorperation? what are those? and what can be the effect?

no, Khalid cannot be trusted? all of us know that. he give 2 contradictory statement as mentioned above. so which one you know it's true?

if i follow blindly, then i would have said that both is true? or the last one if true.. right?

don't tell me i need to write a thesis to explain.

Anonymous said...

BN has an established practice of power-structure and understands that even where UMNO reigns supreme, the other 2 major groups cannot be sidelined blindly. PAS only wants to push through their fundamentalist version of Islam. If Khalid cannot be trusted, then neither of the contradictory statements is true. Logic?

Anonymous said...

If what Khalid said is true, then PAS plotted with "the enemy" to drive out their colleague in the Pakatan, TWO days after its victory with the pact. They bring shame to the value of integrity that Islam teaches.

Non-Muslims shouldn’t fear Umno-PAS dialogue: Shafie

KUALA LUMPUR: Non-Muslims should not fear the Umno-PAS muzakarah (dialogue) because the talks will help to lead to national unity and stability, Umno supreme council member Datuk Mohd Shafie Apdal said.

While the talks had centred around the issue of Islam and Malay unity, Shafie said it should be welcomed by all Malaysians.

""The talks are a good early step to resolve unity problems among the Malays of different political views.

""If that can lead to unity and stability, I'm sure the Chinese and the Indian communities will surely welcome it, because stability will lead to the people's ability to improve their lives,"" he told reporters Tuesday after opening the 16th International Congress on Archives (ICA) at the KL Convention Centre here.

Shafie said sensitive issues on religion and race should be resolved, or the people would continue to face conflicts, which in turn would cause security problems.

""If the talks can be seen as an avenue to seek solutions, I don't see why they cannot continue.

""As a minister in charge of unity, I welcome (such talks),"" he added.

Dear anon,

Basically talk is cheap, but is better than not talking at all.

What the heck? Why people are making speculation and bad impressions on their dialogue sessions? They are discussing. Only discuss.

Do you eventually think that if PAS to join UMNO, this will cause harmful situations to the non-muslims? Come on!! Last coalition of them is in 70-an yet there is no racial issue identified so far. So please stop spreading bad rumors on non-muslims. This is too much.

The previous leaders are all umno, and they lead the country well. So they have the experience in dealing with the citizens and administrating the country.

Stop making racial issues. Do you want the country to ended up like 13May?

What the hell. At least they are eager to discuss with each other regarding their problems in malays and islam in specific. Why have to be so noisy about that? I guess if DAP discuss with MCA or MIC or Hindraf anyway it would not matter. Discussions are made for better understanding of each other.

So simple things we learn in secondary school about the benefits of discussion and at office work even colleges yet you guys can't thing about it when it come to issues like this.

So shame to people who bring this racial issues, should sent them in the ISA detention. Only cause chaos and public disorder.

Dear bunnies,

You have such a cute name, but your opinion is quite extreme.

Problems facing Islam and Malays? can't you see the problem? They are fighting each other which they are Malay and Islam themselves. If they have no problem, Nik aziz wont say that the party will split up with just a few muzakarah held up.

Yeah the PM do lie. I bet everyone lies. Or you yourself is an angel, no lies and living with no sin? The previous PM also lies in certain circumstances. I'm sure if you become the PM you will to. Wanna bet?

I agree that shafie is dumb. Cant agree more.

next time, kindly said your statement wisely. I cant deny that's your opinion, but for certain circumstances this is quite too much.

Anonymous said...

it's simple actually.

if you view and take something in a positive way, then positive it's gonna end up to be.

so,why must we take muzkharah as bad thing?even more why making so much racial prejudice over it?.it just a discussion for heaven's sake.im sure they dont mean any harm to other races.

"..with the PDRM & ARMY as their towel boys."-----> these "towel boys" are the ones that help to defend and risk their life for our country.there are many policeman and armies that got KIA (killed in action) or wounded.do you cherish that or you just ignore that fact?have you ever appreciate their sacrifice?.for sure there are some rotten apples but dont let then rotten ones spoiled the better ones.

Farzain,

National unity is never about Malay unity; it is about Malaysians' unity. For as long as the people are divided by race and classified by class and discriminative policies are perpetuated against all the other races, the people will remain divided and discontent would prevail and promoted.

The success of the Malays rest on the cooperations of all citizens; the non-Malays have qualities and capacities which are synergistic and will synthesized with the Malays' aspiration.

We can jointly grow and prosper together; but the lack of integrity and the presence of affirmative discriminative policies deter and discourages integration and cooperation amongst us and promote distrust.

The more Umno and its cronies cries aloud with rhetorics as Ketuanan and some illusory rights, the more the other races gets isolated and becomes further defensive.

We had lived in such conditions for decades and the discriminated had adapted well towards such discriminations, suppression and oppression. Those oppressed had thrived and survived, even in calamities.

But the effect of globalization and liberalization of the global economy would cause dysfunctional system to ride to the bottom of the abyss.
