BN rules Perak now

Congratulations to Barisan Nasional government for taking over the state government of Perak.

The BN state assemblymen and women with the help and guidance of the police managed to grab the State Assembly Speaker and drag him to a changing room to emasculate him and forcibly take over control of the state legislature.

Thereafter, they pronounced the taking over of the state legislature by appointing a new speaker and will now rule the state with the police force.

It wasn't easy for BN to win; it was a hard fought battle. But what counts is: a win is still a win.

The episode clearly illustrate a democratic form of government and a peaceful ending for the Pakatan Rakyat government. In fact, the Regent of Perak was there to grace the occasion.

What is much more applauding is the enormous tasks of the police force and the riot police who manned the stateassembly building, ensuring that only those authorised and acceptable to them were allowed to enter the legislating forum. More importantly is that those who wear black are screen thoroughly and any terroristic elements were culled and incarcerated.

The Pakatan government had proven that they are not able to rule as civil servants would not cooperate with them and the police have always being suspicious of them, whether it is cow or cars, or chinadolls.

From today's lessons we have learnt that the legislature and the law-makers are under the peace-keeping control of the police and as long as they are obedient and remain a good citizens in their book the legislative body would be allowed to function.

The event proved that the police would do what they believed is right, to them, and are empowered to remove any elected representatives and speaker of the legislature, in accordance to the specific type of rules and policies which is now considered having overriding power and privilege over and above the law-making body of representatives.

As such, the federal government legislative body must also learn to behave.

The speaker of the parliament must also behave as he should be reminded of the way he can be removed and dragged out.

We are now a civil obedient country; aman, damai dan makmur.

Obama must learn from us.

See who's smiling?

Hail Zambry!

Zambry stressed that Pakatan reps should understand that the majority rules the state assembly.

"We cannot allow the tyranny of the minority. The minority cannot rule," he said.

Zambry also expressed regret that the opposition acted rudely and impolitely and failed to respect the royal institution by making the Perak Regent wait for six hours.

"They acted using laws of the jungle and did not respect the rules," he said.

An Extract of Raja Nazrin's speech at the state assembly:

"I understand the heavy responsibility faced by the police. The public must give their full cooperation and assistance to enable the police to do their jobs effectively.

"The sacrifices made by members of the police and Malaysian Defence Forces in defending the sovereignty of the country and preserve peace and harmony should be appreciated," he added.

*****************************
Amen!

If someday, Bolehland police head overthrown the current PM and declare himself the Prime minister, I bet it is legal , right? Perhaps include some "accident shooting+killing" when the current PM bodyguard "over-react".

And then various military head play a coup to "restore" the country, it is also legal perhaps.

Wow, I am just talking about scenario similar to Thailand and lots of country fell in the history :p

BN's testimony of the rule of the jungle. A display of arrongance and ignorance at the highest order.

Bravo BN for paving this way of governing, very righteous indeed...and for our next generation to emulate, right?

I always read your blog, aside from your political views that I try to avoid, but the rest of the jokes are enlightening. However, your recent comment about Perak, I have to counter your misleading comments although yours are full of sarcasms.
Your comment is biased, and I can say you are naturally inclined to believe PR are the victims. How natural can you be, if you uphold integrity and honesty, you blatantly ignore the misbehaviour of PR's circus of menace?
Truthfully, PR have lost the majority, and the denial syndrome (synonymous with Pak Lah's syndrome) is still deep intact in PR's minds. What is happening right now, PR are trying to show to rakyat of Perak that they are being victimised. They try to create confusion among rakyat of Perak when there is nothing to be confused of.
The so called crisis is actually not a crisis at all. The confusion is created by the use of media, and psychological war to influence rakyat of Perak about one side is haram (BN) and one side is as clean as bleached towel (PR). Just stop the politicking and bickering if PR really are working for rakyat. Move on and try again next time.
If PR think that dissolved DUNs are necessary, please start first at their own backyards. Please start a massive resignation of the YBs and call for fresh election at their own yards. If really rakyat of Perak want PR to govern, they should be getting more majority in their votes. I voted for PAS in my constituency last time, will not vote again for PR. And I am Perakian.

The same did not happened in Kelantan, Kedah & Pulau Pinang where the majority is clear cut.

The same 'obsene scenario' would had happened if 16Sept were to be true.

Now, would Sultan of Perak listen to Nizar's request to call for GE ? Although that will be the best solution but I think Sultan will only listen to Zambry.

Just my thoughts.

Dear sir,
I fully agree & understood your sarcasm on the Perak fracas yersterday.
However, some readers couldn't distinguish between the vilain & the victim in the above case. But they are entitle to their own opinion.
Even Mahathir (a UMNO man) commented that this is wrong as they could have done it through a no confidence votes. He even said that Sultan couldnot sack MB. So how could the sultan sworn in a second MB if the first MB didnot resigned or was not sacked? If the above case is still pending in court, how could Perak parliamen convene for a meeting yesterday?? It's a disgrace.

Anyway, yours is a great article & I enjoy your sarcasm as usual!

there can only be a single ruler in a country, either the sultan or the people, it's your choice. once BN gives this power to the sultan to decide on this, it takes away the power for the people, and this can do against them in time to come.

To anon 2:53p.m,
The crux of the problem is not the 3 Aduns who did the crossover. The root of the problem is a bunch of people like you who cannot accept a simple reality.
To anon 2:58pm,
How do you know the Sultan went against the wishes of the people? You are only one person, you don't represent the rest of the people. Unless you are blessed with sixth sense then you will know what other people wish for. Please don't talk crap.

To the rest of PR supporter,
If really the Sept 2008 dream were a reality, you wouldn't bitch here about lack of morals whatsoever because you are BIASED to the OTHER side.
I can understand people here will crucify me because simply I am not inclined to your side. But to talk to me by not being neutral will not do any good either. If you are not biased, this whole thing is not debatable at all.
Please show some respect to the Sultan. Your lack of respect to the sultan shows your lack of manners. You talk about integrity, corruption et al, if you do not have manners, then you don't have integrity, then it is a pot calling a kettle black.
The Sultan has the right to his state, please learn your history. Even if he does business, so what? Unless you want to twist the history or simply don't want to know history, you have no right to be Malaysians.
Whatever happened yesterday show some people who disrespect rule of law, affected by denial syndrome and thus tried to create chaos and a state of anarchy. That's why these are the same people who want ISA to be abolished so that they can create ruckuses if they can't get what they wish and not being caught. Crybabies.
Lastly, I welcome any discussion with me, but leave behind the vulgar words and emotional distress.

Now Perak history comes about? I thought Perak is made up of Sultan, Raja Muda, Raja Bendahara and Raja Dihilir? What happen to the other royal families? They skipped their rights to the Raja Muda post?

For the Perakians who is very proud of BN's handiwork. You have no rights to complain about proper rule of law. It is such misguided thinking that some group can simply act to restore power. Including the use of Judiciary and Police. Very powerful indeed!

As for the guy who talks about Sep16 begets the frog saga, I wonder if he is truly Perakian. One wrong does not deserver another.

I think everyone has their own opinion and preference of support. I personally feel PR is less harmful and more 'green' than BN. Watch and see, at least they are not using up and bankrupt the country's money.

The way the Royalty behaves in the whole saga is a very clear stand that they are behind BN. Letting the events played out yesterday was a way of staying above politics? I find it a strange stand indeed. Also to justify police interference? Means that the police is also 'silently' acting on his preference. This has deep repercussions on the future of Perak. Just wait and see.

If you think the act is justified, you are no better then those guys who beat the snatch thief to death and yell justice. Is this the one sided and barbarian justice we want to head to?

To Anon 8:17am (May 9, 2009):-
Your first paragraph is irrelevant.

Your second paragrapah, "For the Perakians who is very proud of BN's handiwork. You have no rights to complain about proper rule of law. It is such misguided thinking that some group can simply act to restore power. Including the use of Judiciary and Police. Very powerful indeed!". Hence I wonder, does it make you are the only one who has the right to complain about proper rule of law? People like me can't say anything about it? Your biased judgment has clouded into you that everybody conspires against PR. Hence, the game of being victimized is being played again. Don't be a sissy, take it like a man and move on.

Your 3rd paragraph, "As for the guy who talks about Sep16 begets the frog saga, I wonder if he is truly Perakian. One wrong does not deserver another.". If this is the kind of integrity that you have, I applaud for that you. But I wonder if you also uphold the same integrity and principle last year when DSAI made that move (although unsuccessful). As far as I can recall, only Karpal Singh strongly objected. And that's the kind of integrity that you should emulate.

It doesn't matter if you prefer the other side to support. It is healthy. But to support blindly without having integrity in you, that render whatever correct information and facts useless. Without integrity and principles, your decision is always clouded with emotion, biased and selective judgment. Justice for you is only selective. You cry foul when something is against you. And I wonder how can you talk about fair play?

BN has a found a new way of taking over any state constitution without the need for courts or elections. First all they need to do is to threaten some ADUN's who are not strong and corruptible under the newly founded MACC, then buy them over as friendly independents with the help of Judge Fixing/Judgement Fixing Vincent Tan, then hide under the Royalty to give their despicable act some moral standing and then after convene a state parliament sitting and forcefully and physically removed the legal Speaker and put in his place an unelected ADUN. This is something that that governments using the Westminister System of Parliamentry Democracy can learn from Malaysia Boleh. Zambri and perhaps Najib should be conferred a Noble Prize for this enlightened Political breakthrought.

Anonymous said...

Remember, this is just an open space for discussion and comments. Don't force your ideas on others and certainly don't need to insult others.

Ha ha ha....

Looks like hikayat is attempting to juggle with words that are beyond his own comprehension. Associating "Integrity" with politicians? Us layman may not understand such bombastic words until we look it up. I will not put "integrity" on any PR politicians but as for BN politicians, the exact opposite would fit them nicely on a day to day basis.

Just quote the self claimed MB "We cannot allow the tyranny of minority". Now not too long ago, they were the minority. Getting a few coerced representatives to take the opposite stand without the test of rakyat approval is no stamp of approval and hence the self claimed "majority" is highly questionable. That alone is enough test on the word INTEGRITY and it will certainly be a joke associating it with BN. But sadly, you don't see Perakians laughing with joy.

With such 'shortcut' and shotgun democracy, the repercussion is going to be long and tedious battle. Next you will see class action by all PR elected reps. We are talking about thousands not couple hundreds. Has there been any law to say wresting of state government will automatically invalidate the previous appointment which would last for until next election when State Assembly was dissolved. Talk about practical matter, lets wait and see what happens. Maybe that will put INTEGRITY and LEGITIMACY and probably ETHICS to test.

Anonymous said...

Ms Hee who was elected ADUN recently has so much integrity in her that she has to go against her comrades of many years. Those who supported and gave her the chance to be nominated for election.

She continues to pursue her call for INTEGRITY that she decided to take her stand to align with the party that her constituency chooses her against.

On 7th May, her call for INTEGRITY peaked when she feel compelled to assist the 'MAJORITY' party in removing her comrades from power as they were a mob and said many nasty things to hurt her after she announced her stand enlightened on way to riches. She could not understand why so many people had such nasty things to say about her. After all she was doing such important job that she helped the state got back its shine. She and she alone make it happen for BN to take control of the state. Isn't it glorious? And what is some perks of nice cars and some spare cash compared to the 'jasa' she did for perakians.

She and the rest of the BN 'knights' will be able to tell you what glorious job they have done to save the Perakians from such horrible bunch of people who called themselves PR. Now business will be as usual.

Anyway, maybe the Perakians being so impressed with their new team especially the new MB and the inspirational Ms Hee that they would reward them with study tours (all expense paid like Toyo) to Las Vagas and Europe. Being the new trend, even Singapore has it, we may need to expand our industry base to help develop the state for fuller employment.

What say you?

hikayat-penuh-ranjau said...

A healthy discussion indeed, but really you guys failed to see my point or you just like to twist my statement.

Alright, a test of integrity, if September 2008 WERE a reality, what would you do?
a) You would condemn and despise the initiator?
b) You would hail him as the saviour?
Please answer in your honesty.
Thank you.

Plain and simple, If Sep 2008 were to happen and for a more open and transparent government, we would support.

It is blatant disregard to public welfare and well-being that drives the rakyat to push for change. Is there any wonder why your blind support for BN even though there were many clear-cut cases of abuse has been countered by better informed voting citizen?

BTW, did you know that the list of councilors and Ketua Kampongs were interviewed and waiting for Surat Watikah at this moment? It will be business as usual. You think it is for the rakyat?

Rakyat is fed up of the superior race antics and blatant disregard to criticism in BN much like yourself. They wanted to cultivate an alternative government that is equivalent in power and capabilities to provide checks and balance for BN. Until that is achieved, BN will continue to think that they can muzzle the rakyat into submission. That doesn't mean we will not criticize PR, whatever they do wrong, I am sure there are people like you hikayat to scrutinize their every move. Only fools like the 2 PR kataks that think that they were made some VIP and there is no wrong in accepting bribe when offered. Strange thing is that BN accepted them with open arms just to stay in power. You think these kataks will want to align with BN without inducements?

Your a and b is irrelevant, what causes the whole circus was the mishandling of affairs by all parties. The whole episode does look to be abuse of power. How would wresting power helps the rakyat in Perak? A snap election would have solved all that. You will cite high cost which could be made to good use.... but of all the so called savings in the past used as excused to increase petrol price etc. have we seen it being applied and was there transparency? As for election, who goes around throwing goodies? As I know you will have to pay for your own to attend PR talks and donation. Not the type from BN who gives all goodies but still lost.

We don't need a very strong PR government but only ask for honest but transparent government which they have demonstrated in states like Penang, Selangor and other states. BN States? have you seen BN politicians mellowed to listen to the rakyat? What? Rakyat are all PR supporters and therefore not worth listening to? That's what cause them to lose big the last election. BN 'won' to only look after their supporters only? Is that the government we want to call as just, fair and with integrity?

Sorry Mav, long winded here a bit...

hikayat-penuh-ranjau said...

To anon 11.49am,
Your answer summarizes your integrity. I was not talking about anything except integrity. If you can't show your integrity as my question above, so the rest of the facts are irrelevant in your eyes although everything was done according to the book.

Mind you, I was not talking about about supporting anyone. I was merely pointing a double standard attitude.
a) 31 frogs to PR, hail them - it's for the rakyat
b) 3 frogs to BN, despise them - spit them to the face because they have been bought, the Sultan conspires, the Judges conspire, even the garbage man conspires against PR.

Therefore, to cry foul like that make you a sissy and a crybaby. Add a hypocrite too in the vocabulary.

To you, BN is Darth Vader and PR is Jedi Luke Skywalker. Never the other way around. To me, politicians are always politicians. There are Darth Vaders too in PR. You just don't want to admit.

You would rather twist the logic because simply your mind is biased. That has been my statement from since my first comment if you ever read mine carefully. Neither I have been talking about supporting BN or what not.

Also, you keep talking about rakyat as if you represent rakyat. You only represent yourself, because as I am one of the rakyat too, would feel insulted if you say you represent rakyat (including me).

Lookup the meaning of Integrity first before using it against others. At the end of the day, politics is supposed to achieve betterment of the country and rakyat. Just as you said you don't subscribe to my point of view, I don't subscribe to your point of view either. But what an election is allowed to take place, we know the wishes of the MAJORITY and not single voice such as those from yours and mine. That being the case, why talk as if you have bigger voice than mine? Unless you are paid to blog for BN just like the many who have mushroomed recently.

Remember, when the real MAJORITY speaks up, you have to accept. Not the false majority. Katak incidents as played up by the 3 are just one small manifestation of corruption in the system.

Your style is so like the many BN paid losers who used to crawl in MT. Like to make pointless conversation to twist and turn facts. At the end of the day, it is about BN the mighty and can do no wrong. PR and especially Brother Anwar ... is the ... and the .... and many more. I would thank Anwar for without him and his experience, Opposition fronts were not able to gather up such a strong show to put better checks on the BN abuses.

BN would have done many 'jasa' in the past. But in its form now, it harbors more abuses than ability to carry out beneficial works for the country.

Your 3rd paragraph:- "Remember, when the real MAJORITY speaks up, you have to accept. Not the false majority."
