Something I learned today!

Something new I had learned today ....

'Stewardesses' is the longest word typed with only the left hand.

'lollipop' is the longest word typed with your right hand.

'Dreamt' is the only English word that ends in the letters 'mt'.

The sentence: 'The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog' uses every letter of the alphabet.

The words 'racecar' 'kayak' and 'level' are the same whether they are read left to right or right to left.

There are only four words in the English language which end in 'dous': tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous.

There are two words in the English language that have all five vowels in order: 'abstemious' and 'facetious.'

TYPEWRITER is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard.

Kudos to Daniel for his discoveries. It takes a lot of effort and motivation to be doing something like this. I hope he goes on to make further discoveries.

Perhaps he should also consider a word like 'prompt' which also ends in 'mt'; there may be a few others like 'exempt' and so on.Show these to him slowly ya for we do not wish to discourage him but rather, to encourage him to think of all possibilities before making his conclusions.

And the longest english word: ANTIDISESTABLISHMENTARIANISM . (Used mostly in reference to the Anglican Church in 19th-century England, it refers to opposition to the separation of Church and State.) I learnt this word since 1972 when I was in Form V. Some might argue it is ICBM, short for Intercontinetalballisticmissiles.

"Able was I ere I saw Elba." - Napoleon Bonaparte.

This is a palindrome sentence uttered by Napoleon during one of his reflective moments when he was exiled to the remote island of Elba.
