My Oscar Award

Last night, Christmas night, I received a grand surprise - an Oscar trophy - delivered to me by my children - see below

My children gave me a nice gift for Christmas - the Best Dad Award!

They must have bought it at the shopping complex or gift shop.

Things like this is surely touching. My heart smile with delight; it is truly the most delighting gift I had ever received from my children.

Thank you, my dear and precious children. I love all of you. I surely hope that I had been a good dad; if I had not, I will surely do my best to be one.

Merry Christmas to everyone. I'll be back to office tomorrow.

My Ipad

Two days ago I visited my good friend's blog Purple-Mushroom and she's got a new iPad. Apple & Mac's products had never been something I had craved. For laptop or pc I prefer Windows & for handphone my choice is Nokia.

In 2008 my good friend Alex Wong gave me an iPhone 3G for my birthday. It was a nice toy and it's fun flipping with your fingers. Well, it's also the only touch-screen device at that time. But I had always preferred Nokia. So, in 2009, I bought a N97 that cost approx RM3,000, and I'm still using it.

Since the arrival of iPhone 4 I was toying with the idea of getting one but I'm more familiar with Nokia device and finds Nokia's phone easier to use; that's what dissuade me from switching to iPhone. Furthermore my N97 is working well and why should I buy an iPhone, paying RM2,800 whereas a 3G-iPad cost only RM2,850?

Today my good buddy Peter Ting came all the way from Johor to have lunch with me. And ... after lunch, he gave me a surprise ... my Christmas present - a 3G-iPad!

Well, that's a wonderful gift for Christmas!

Thank you, Peter, and how nice of you.

Using it wasn't difficult as I had experience with iPhone 3G and the toy is similar. The only problem I faced is - how to load movies/videos to the iPad. I managed to transfer music using iTune but couldn't do so with videos from my pc.

Well, for every new toy it will take some time to familiarize with it. With the X'mas holidays I may have time to have fun with the toy.

Merry Christmas to everyone and all of you should a nice and enjoyable holiday with your family members. I'm going for a holiday with my children too. Bye!

Wealth: Lessons from Tadashi

Tadashi Yanai
Fast Retailing Chairman & CEO

61 year-old billionaire Tadashi Yanai heads Japan's largest clothes retailer Fast Retailing, a company he took over from his father in 1984 under the name of Ogori Shoji.

According to Forbes Tadashi is Japan's richest man with a net worth of US$9.2 billion. The self-made billionaire said it was all due to hard work and perseverance that he is where he is today. But making money was never the biggest part of his plan in life. "I never pursued wealth. It came naturally. It is about the business, managing it, growing it and benefiting society."

"I believe that if you pursue wealth, you will always be chasing it," Tadashi said.

"A person pursuing success should not be afraid of taking risks and making mistakes. If you want to succeed, you have to experience failures. To me, the worst people in the world are those that neither succeed nor fail. These people don't do anything and accomplish nothing."

"The second worst types are those that continuously fail. They never learn from their mistakes and never succeed," he said.

"The world is constantly changing. To succeed in this environment, you need to make mistakes, fail, learn from them and move on."

"I have always been a risk-taker. But I only take risks as long as the company doesn't go bankrupt. You need to constantly evaluate the situation. If you don't take risks, you will never profit."

"Trust and credibility are the most important traits in growing a successful business."

"I consider myself a strict boss at the office. It is necessary if you need to do what is right. A lot of managers out there say a lot of things but they never do it. At the office it is 'his way or the highway.' If I say something whether in office or in public, it will be executed and I will do it. That's what sets me apart from others."

Favorite pastime? "I like reading books on business management by people that actually run their own business."

Work and play? "Work is my playground. I find it fun and enjoying."

Supreme being do not need privileges

Nazri: Heed PM's call to reject extremism
NST, Prime News, Page 10
10th Dec 2010

Ketuanan Melayu (Malay supremacy) does not exist in the country, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz said yesterday.

"There is nothing about the Malays being the supreme race. No race is above another. If the Malays are a supreme race, why do they need privileges? Privileges are handicaps!!!

"If they're supreme, they can compete with the other races. Those who talk about Malay supremacy don't know what they're talking about."

Nazri, who was speaking after launching the Pertubuhan Perkhidmatan Rakyat Malaysia (PPRM)/Nayagankini.com blog at the Royal Selangor Club, urged the people to heed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's call to be moderate and to reject extremism.

He said the Barisan Nasional component parties should be championing the rights of all people and not just a specific race.

Mahathir often said the Jews ruled the world by proxies ... what does that mean? Is Mahathir saying the Jews are so supreme that they can rule anyone by just utilizing proxies? Did the Jews control the Supreme Medias, Supreme Central Banks and Supreme Financial Institutions, Supreme Governments, Supreme Technologies, etc, etc?

Wasn't Mahathir the man who championed the application of crutches and the use of proxies to control major institutions such as Renong, MRCB, Berjaya, NST, PWTC, etc, etc? 22 years later he said he failed to address the plights of the poor masses; 30 years on and they still need supreme crutches, said Mahathir; and they still had to clutched onto that supreme crutches. Mahathir must continue to cry.

Paradox of the Toyoed House

They bought the land for RM6.4 million many years ago.

They then agreed to sell to me at RM3.5 million.

Why? Why they sell to me so cheap?

Because, Willing Buyer, Willing Seller!

So, that's proof that the house is not RM24 million as claimed by DAP Sekinchan YB Ng Suee Lim.The house cost only Rm3.5 million!

But, that house cannot cost only RM3.5 million. How can that be possible when the land cost RM3.5m; what about the construction of the Mansion?

Em, but aren't we talking about cost? That's the land cost!

But, what about the design and construction cost of the exclusive mansion?

That, that is ... immaterial ... it is not what was paid; it's free - the bricks was from abandoned projects somewhere in Klang Valley, the laborers were Indonesians who were not paid at all as the Immigration officers arrested them and deported them; the other construction materials were samples ... and some were gifts ...

But ... there's still many other costs that would have been incurred to finished and complete the building as it can be seen?

Well, so far no one billed for it; so consider it as free lah!!!

Would it be RM24 million worth?

Well, if you asked the property valuer, today, yes lah! But if you asked me, I tell you it is not what I paid for; I paid only RM3.5 million, that's all!!!

So, is it true that your house is worth RM24 million?

Yes and No! Yes, if you asked the Valuer today; No, if you asked me how much I actually paid!

Then, what is the truth?

The truth is ... No truth and No Lies! Truly, my house is worth more than RM24 million today; truthfully, I did not pay for it - I'm not sure if there's anyone who had subsidize it, but that's not my fault as I never demanded that they do it for me or on my behalf ... I never insist, I never corrupt!!!

Is that somewhat connected to corruption of power?

Fuck you, as I am not in power now and you can't blame me as i have no power now!

Come to my clinic to support me ... I will help to pull out your teeth so that you will not talk rubbish again!!!

How much would you charge for a tooth extraction?

Em ... RM24 m.
