"NO COVERUP OF GRAFT CASES," SAYS PAK-LAH

No Coverup Posted by Hello

18 sectors NOT 18 cases! Posted by Hello

25th. May 2004, NSTP reports

Pak-Lah says that there will be no cover up of graft cases and the facts will be made public to erase the perception that corruption was widespread and that investigation were dragging along. According to Pak-Lah, this was to ensure justice is done in corruption cases.

I admire is stand and hope he does what he says.

First and foremost, with what he just said, he should have no fear and prejudice, to make public those cases of investigation on several of his ministers, such as Rafidah ziz, Nazri, Diam, Ling Leong Sik, etc who had so far not been indicted and presumably, were "exonerated".

Today, Pak-lah explained that the 18 cases mentioned by Rais Yatim refers to 18 sectors to which attention should be directed to eradicate corruption. Does he mean that Rais is "shooting below his hip" and Rais got the wrong info from Attorney General? Or, is Pak-lah covering up something? The statement is worth pondering and at the time when Rais Yatim made the statement, we are certain he knows what he is talking and he also knows the consequences he will face if he is lying. Are we Malaysians stupid or are we been made one?
