SABAH JUDGES GOES I.T.
Tech Judge
JUDGES USES I.T. TO IMPROVE SERVICE EFFICIENCY.
Justice Ian H.C. Chin and Justice Malanjum, both Sabahan, are the only Judges who puts their notes of proceedings and judgments on the internet for public previews.
For journalists covering the case, the notes form the judge are always available for counter-checking against their own notes. The immediate availability enables lawyers and prosecutors to be better prepared for the following day's hearing.
What about other judges? Or, they have yet to learn how to use computers? Worse off are those who did not deliver the award after hearing 45 cases in the last three years. There are instances that awards are not delivered for many years and the judge is still presiding over various current cases.
Performance measurement system and KPIs are not implemented in Courts for the Judges? Ask Pak-Lah!
