Who the hell is Sonia?

On Wednesday, police arrested three men in connection with the publication and distribution of the book "Sex and Corruption Scandal", confiscated 702 copies of the book, a manuscript and printing material. Ruslin said those found guilty of the charges would be sacked.

The book is at the centre of a controversy which police believe is aimed at toppling Ruslin. The book mention a sexual link between Datuk Ruslin and a woman called Sonia.

Who is Sonia? Datuk Bandar Datuk Ruslin Hassan said he doesn't know her.

"As mayor, I sometimes go to entertainment outlets to check on their operations. There are a lot of women there, especially in karaoke outlets. "I might have met a Sonia, Bonia or other Nia's. I don't remember ... There is simply no scandal. I do not know her," he said.

My wife (Datin Azizah Jalil) knows me well.“ Ruslin, 56, the seventh mayor, said the majority of City Hall staff liked him and had no reason to topple him or tarnish his name.

So, who is Sonia? Is she a Mamasan, a Call-girl, or a prostitute?

Why is it that the Mayor personally need to go to entertainment & karaoke outlets so often to check their operations?

Is this what's the mayor role? Doesn't he have enforcement officers to do the checking? And why is he so passionate with Karaoke and Discos? What about prostitute dens? Is he also passionate with the operations too? What about gambling dens? There are hundred of them in KL? What about Pasar Malam and Mamak Stores? What about the illegal squatters? What about the traffic jams, potholes, poor road conditions and poor drainage conditions? What about the flood prone areas? What about city poverty and gangsters problem?

Why is he so passionate with Karaoke and Discos and Entertainment outlets such that he will be networking with Sonia, Bonia, Nia, Cunia, Dunia, Monia, and all the kan-li-nia?

Talking about Sonia, maybe Datuk Bandar has fond memories of this Sonia of Australia.

Her name is 24-year-old Michelle Leslie and is an Australian Model of Autralian-Philippine parentage.

Michelle Leslie was accused of possessing ecstasy pills in Indonesia's Bali resort island and faces lengthy imprisonment if convicted.

Leslie said last month she had converted to Islam a year ago and that her new faith had prevented her from going "crazy" in her police cell in predominantly-Hindu Bali.

"It upsets me greatly that people think I am trying to manipulate the system," she said.

"Religion is helping me stay centred in the present moment. You have to find something otherwise your mind just goes crazy."

Sonia had modelled lingerie and swimwear before her arrest and she is among 12 young Australians facing execution or long prison sentences in Indonesia for drug offences.

She was charged in the Indonesian court for possessing two ecstasy tablets during a police raid on a party in Bali's Jimbaran area in August.

If found guilty she could be jailed for up to 15 years under tough drug laws in Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim nation.

However, prosecutors said an addicted drug user would face an alternate charge with a maximum three-month term. Prosecutors yesterday formally interviewed Leslie, who left the Denapasar police cells in a white, Muslim headscarf not the full burhka she adopted soon after her arrest. She was then transferred to Kerobokan jail, where Schapelle Corby is imprisoned.

Chief prosecutor Suhadi said Leslie was facing a 15-year term, but added: "If this person is by law a user, the maximum term is three months. It's the law, I did not write it."

It is believed that an Indonesian man arrested with ecstasy at the same dance party as Leslie has already been tried as a user and released. Mr Suhadi said he would wait until the court hearing, due within two weeks, before determining his position.

Leslie has already served nearly three months in a tiny police cell with 11 other women.

During the prosecutor's questioning, Leslie, shaking her head, denied ever taking ecstasy before. Her lawyer interjected: "Just medicine, not ecstasy.“ A doctor's report stated Leslie was addicted to prescribed medicine, not ecstasy, Leslie's lawyers said. The report states she underwent several months' treatment for addiction.

That's the price you pay to be associated with ecstasy, fantasy, and any form of aphrodisiacs.
