Help the Bumi

UMNO Youth leaders had always preached their unshakable objective that Bumiputeras and Malays must be assisted. Here we have a case of a Bumiputera who is in dire straits as his daughter will be stopped from continuing her studies if she does not pay up her tuition fees.

23 year-old Shaaira Nasir is studying medicine in University of Dublin, Ireland. She failed to get a scholarship from the Government. Her father Nasir Ahamad, approached MARA and got a study loan but MARA will not provide full loan to pay the tuition fees. Nasir said his daughter might not be allowed to sit for her exams if she did not come up with another RM58,146 in time to pay the fees for her fourth and fifth years, and settle outstanding dues from her second year in the medical college.

"My daughter scored straight As, but when we applied for a loan from Mara, they rejected it saying it was a new policy not to sponsor private students who went abroad." Nasir said his daughter had 1½ years to go before getting a degree.

To date, Mara has provided loans of RM412,500 for her pre-medical studies and her first- and second-year tuition fees. "It’s not a scholarship that we want; a loan is all I want, which my daughter and I will repay when she graduates," he said.

MARA had provided $412,000 to her, but are not willing to provide the balance? So, she is going to be a half-baked doctor and how is she going to pay back the $400,000 if she doesn't graduate? Otak Udang Mara! If you can't help, don't help! If you want to help, help her till the end of her course; till she graduate!

So, Khairy and Hishamuddin had shouted so loud about Malay Agenda! So, what is Malay Agenda? Helping the needy Malays or helping the few in UMNO Youth to get APs, projects, Datukship and Chairmanship? Does the Malays in general who need help actually gets them? Only the Malays can answer.

The Chinese, they never worried because they know MCA can never help and had never help them. So the Chinese never need to depend on MCA or Gerakan. MCA and Gerakan is only meant for those Chinese who cannot cari makan sendiri. The MCA can help - who? Those girls from China who overstayed, those men whose wife ran away with others, and those who borrowed from Ah Loong - these Chinese need MCA Michael Chong who is the Malaysian version of Don Corleone.
